'It's my only chance'
A WILD CARD ENTRY could well bring back Prachi Desai in 'Jhalak' tonight
You seemed shocked when you were ousted from 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' (Sony).
Yes I was. There was no reason for my ouster. I had won the second highest votes. My marks had been consistently good. Even the day I was voted out, I had procured 28 marks out of 30.
What are the chances of your winning the wild card entry tonight?
I do feel positive. I am extremely grateful from the response that I have received from viewers. What I could not do for myself they have been doing for me. They are so keen to see me back. I request them to vote for me tonight.
Are you nervous being pitted against ousted candidate Sudha Chandran in the wild card round?
I am surely nervous. This is my only chance to return though I do love Sudhaji as a person.
Is it true that some of your co-stars in 'Kasamh se' (Zee) were glad when you were voted out from 'Jhalak'?
Some could have been jealous. However, Ram Kapoor, who even came on the sets of 'Jhalak' and Ashwini Kalsekar have been supportive.
In fact, Ashwini was ill in hospital when she saw me being voted out. She called me up to say that she was upset. Also, Sudhaji (Shivpuri), my camera-man and my director have been most supportive.
Above all, Ektaa (Kapoor) has been most encouraging.
Did you always enjoy dancing?
I have always loved dancing but had gained no training. I am glad that people accepted me in this avtar despite my Bani ('Kasamh Se') image. Dance is now my passion.
