Well his brother Rohit got nominated in the best actor category and his show has been off the air for over 5 months and similarly Rajeev K has exited the show a few months ago and he also got nominated, so bajaj missing from the show should not be a reason enough for such a "popular" actor not to get nominated for his most prominant role. Also the niminations are for this years work and to dimiss Prachi's nomination is a disservice to her hard work. It is not Milind Virani, but Milind Mishra from Kayamath and he is definitely the lead/star of the show.

Shows can have low rating and the stars still can be phenomenoly popular, case in point Rajeev K whose show LRL did not have good TRP's but he was hugely popular and won best actor award at Sansui.

Bottom line is people have not been voting for Ronit Roy and that put him in danger zone for 2-3 weeks, and voting is directly related to popularity. You can say 1 week they did not vote thinking he did not need it, but even not to vote after seeing him in dangerzone does not bode well and only to get out of danger zone when your partner is hurt and it is hugely publicized to pull at voters heartstrings. Ronit and his partner are one of the best dancing couple but they just seem to lack in popular support.

I too feel that RR is the best dancer amongst all the male participants.

Having said that, there could be 2 reasons he could be in the danger zone. One is that his fans from the regions where his votes are counted are not voting for him or the channel is manipulating the results to keep the viewers on edge and to keep watching. Of course this is pure speculation on my part.

I am a fan of RR's work, but I am open-minded.

Yes definately he is not pulling in the votes. Such is the lifespan of fame. One minute you are hot and the next you are not.

We are talking about dancing performance in jdj here.

RR's entry into the danger zone started after the disco clip.
His disagreement with Nicole and his solitaire dance. The next week also showed some discord in the rehearsals.
Dance is about working together. Learning to find common ground and focus.A discord cannot draw in votes.

This I feel is the single most turnoff for a voter inspite of a person's popularity. A person's inability to accommodate a partner's views makes people see a different side of you that they probably didn't know existed.

If we are talking about danger zone then, Jay has been in the bottom for the past two weeks. and it happened after an article of his interview was published a couple of weeks ago. So voters do form their opinions of their personality from what is printed , shown and then their performance. Its not only based on the performance.

Yes, Nicole's injury could have drawn in sympathy votes but also bear in mind we do not have the privilege of knowing the % vote difference between contestants. It may be a marginal difference of 3/4 votes that determines hierarchy and elimination.

If there is one advice I would give to all contestants it would be , positive PR is important. You are on TV, practise some drama. 😉 .

how is it possible that Sudha and Sonali get more votes than Ronit ? Ok .. Sudha's vote-garnering I can understand but how it happens in case of Sonali is totally out of my level of comprehension UNLESS Maharashtra is getting regional and voting for Sonali because just because she's one of them - a marathi person..

Sorry for that - but that's what JDJ is slowly turning into as well - a regional war - some episodes back we had Sonali and Shivaji satam asking for votes in Marathi, last episode we had Sandhya asking Delhi to wake up and vote for her.. before that we had Mika telling everyone that Punjab votes for him - what the!!!

It is possible that Ronit is not as popular as Jay and Prachi - it is most probable .. but I am not ready to accept that he's relatively so NOT popualar.. Sony's upto it's tricks according to me..

I dont understand this! Ronit fanz send thousands of SMSes and I still fail 2 understand y he is not in the Top 3 or 4!!!!!
