There are very limited steps for guys. Gals naturally inhibit dancing skills and moves; there is no reason why guys should compete with gals in dancing. Guys have a well defined role of guiding gals to dance in that pretext, normal people will never acknowledge the value guys brings in duets. Only knowledgeable people know the value of guys in dancing, alas.. this time around also gal will win.

your take?

I have a different opinion in this.

A girl & guy both can dance equally well. If a non dancer dances with a dancer mostly you can make out who out of two is a dancer. If a male choreographer can teach a female participant to dance then why can't guys take part in the show.

We saw girls performance in yesterday's episode. I need 2 watch out guys performance in tonight's episode & then will my verdict 😊

i agree with shruti. for these type of dances you need a guy and a girl and their chemistry must be compatible. a girl necessarily doesnt have to win. you need to have a good trainer to carve out a dancer. have to wait for tomorrows episode. one of the article says ronit stole the show, so may be he beat sandhya too? am not sure, will have to wait and watch 😃

😆😆 I bet you! guy performer cannot hit the public eye even though he guides the girl life a pro. Only people who know dancing can pick it, how many common public are dancers or know about dancing? .. guess time to wait and watch.😳

I don't agree with u 😳 ...I think in dance forms like Salsa and Rumba both the partners should b equally good ..and if Mona won last year then most of the credit goes to her choreographer Toby who is a guy 😃 ..
And in General there r guys like Prabhu Deva who is a superb dancer and what about Shiamak davar..he is also a guy 😃

Just imagine if a guy like Prabhu deva or Shiamak davar would hv danced with Sandhya Mridul yesterday then all eyes would hv gone on Prabhu deva or shiamak davar only 😉 😃 ..

Its just that last year unfortunately none of the guys were good enough to compete with Shweta or Mona 😳 ...but lets see if this year a guy can give a tough competetion to a girl 😛 which I m sure will definitely happen 😃

Well in dancing guys and girls are usually evenly matched. Girls have grace, do a lot of acrobatics, have complex hip movements. Guys take the lead, they have to thrust girls up in the air, move her about and keep balance. Guys also have the advantage of a lot of pelvic movements which is unacceptable for girls to perform. Girls to have their own moves up the sleeve. It is evenly matched.

However, in the Indian audience I think people tend to oversee the role of the male in favor of the grace and beauty of women.

In Jhalak I think only Ronit and Jay have hopes of competing with the girls I think for their popularity factor. Ronit seems to dance smoothly too.

Well according to me life is a great leveler ... If guys rule singing competition then gals rule dancing...esp. JDJ and I really hope a gal wins.. not that I don't like guys.. its the judging system that makes me say so mainly the voting system...the best example being the II2 and II3 winners.. If we go into technicalities.. tab tho sab kuch ulta pulta hota aur sahi hota... anyways if the voting system is there then I support gals all the way..I'm not trying to be a feminist either.. Its just equality for all 😃

JDJ is inspired from Strictly come Dancing. Last season Mark ramprakash, (male 😆), won the show. Watch just one dance of his, and you'll see how the guys too have the chance to show their dancing skills. He was better than every other girl on that show.
