I'm sick of the hoo-ha about Shveta being a trained dancer. First of all she is NOT a trained dancer and has not regularly danced at concerts and shows. Secondly, as someone said earlier, if Baby Spice can participate in Strictly Come Dancing (the show on which JDJ is based) even though she danced a lot during her Spice Girls career, wtf is wrong if Shveta is in JDJ when she has not even danced regularly?? It seems some people can't differentiate between a trained dancer and a born dancer - you can be naturally graceful without necessarily being trained in dance.

Secondly, I agree that the criticism of Shveta towards the last rounds was entirely orchestrated. Pooja Bedi is/was part of Mid-day as a columnist. No surprise to see numerous b1tchy articles about Shveta there. And articles about how poor Mona was without a choreographer for 2 days - oh no the world will come to an end 😉 Everything looked totally set to make Mona look like a hapless victim and underdog and Shveta look like an arrogant greedy trained dancer. An choreographer absent for 2 days is not a disaster for Mona who could afford to rehearse 8 hours a day for JDJ. It almost puts her on level pegging with Shveta who could only rehearse for 2 hours per day and that too late in the night due to busy shooting schedules.

And then they say that Mona was the underdog - HELLO wtf is that supposed to mean? Mona was never in the bottom three, not once was she in the danger zone. She was always safe thanks to Sony or Jassi or anything other than her dancing talent (or lack thereof). In a Jassi versus Shveta Salve contest, tell me who is the underdog?? If anything it was Shveta. She could compete and win based on dance, but she just could not compete against 'Jassi'.

Sorry just had to get all that out hehe 😊

OMG,why didnt you register earlier😭....We Shveta fans truly needed someone as vociferous and eloquent as you to do the defending when this forum was inundated with anti shveta posts...We a handful of SHveta fans were defending her day in and day out against the battalion of Mona fans, some who annihilated Shveta's character in the most ruthless manner, and came up with all ludicrous reasons to defend their stance as to why she should win....You were truly needed then😭..me,mermaid,Purva,dancingdoll,maya etc had a tough time,we needed more vocal people like you..welcome to the forum🤗🤗

Yes,Mona wasnt the underdog in any way,and that is precisely what I had mentioned in the "Mona's improvement overrated" thread, and everyone pounced on me....Mona was never the underdog when it came to the votes....She had sony, the jassi fans and the aam junta who know zilch about good dancing on her side....

Completely agree with what u have written here and I respect ur views but tell me one thing ,what is Mona's mistake in all this ,why is she been targetted .

was she wrong in working hard and learning dance, was she wrong for the adulation she got as jassi, was she wrong in campaigning for votes using the jassi image esp when people still believe she is jassi and call her by that name . was she the one who wrote the mid-day article ,was she the one who posted those anti-svetha articles .do think abt it, wouldnt it be unfair to not acknowledge her victory mainly bcoz she wasnt responsible for any of the injustice to svetha .

thats the point I am trying to get across, atleast acknowledge the winner bcoz she was not responsible for svetha's loss or her win . She did everything right to win ,she did her best and the rest was upto the junta .

No,nothing wrong on Mona's part per se(if we forget her using her jassi tag, when she actually wanted to get rid of it😉)....But her victory is half baked, she isnt the winner in all the senses,She officially won,but she wasnt the best dancer, and many other factors clinched her the trophy....The victory is consummate only and ONLY if she wins in every aspect, which isnt the case..Just like how we tend to sympathise with the cricket team when it loses due to factors like rain ,and when in actuality they would have won,had the rain not wrecked havoc...Draw the analogy😃....Not Mona's fault, its her fans' fault for voting for her on basis of personal favouritsim and other factors like sympathy and not to forget sony, but fairly or unfairly,ITS SHE WHO HAS TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF THIS BIAS OF SONY/HER FANS/JUNTA WHO VOTE FROM THEIR HEART...and this is what I precisely said earlier, that by making her win,her fans arent doing her any favour..If we strictly look from the money point of view, yeah, she won...But if we look at the "COMPLETE" victory, then no,she hasnt won😊..Just my PERSONAL opinion

Originally posted by: tina59

cmon its been barely a week ,not even a week since she won , why wouldnt she celebrate her victory .As i said she did everything right to win ,if u feel anger it should be against the junta coz MONA had nothing to do with it. From her POV she tried her best ,learnt dance and performed and campaingned for votes , so why wouldnt she rejoice afterall she played by the rules and worked hard for it . Its not as if she cheated , she is not responsible if people still identify her as jassi, she herself has said that she wants to be known as Mona and thats exactly why she joined JDJ but she cant help it if people call her jassi even now and whats wrong in using that to her advantage . The truth is SHE wasnt responsible for svetha's loss and she did her best to win period.

and pls ,why was the post written so rudely. I wasnt targetting you nor was i targetting svetha .I was simply putting forward the practical view and the facts .

chill, nothing is said to you alone..If you see,you arent the ONLY person participating in this thread

Secondly, nothing derogatory has been said about Mona per se....Her win isnt consummate, according to some people...and when such an article comes up,we do tend to get skeptical....and reiterating,Not Mona's fault, its her fans' fault for voting for her on basis of personal favouritsim and other factors like sympathy and not to forget sony, but fairly or unfairly,ITS SHE WHO HAS TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF THIS BIAS OF SONY/HER FANS/JUBNTA WHO VOTE FROM THEIR HEART..

We can holler till we go blue on our faces, but nothing can change the fact that SHveta was the better dancer,in all honesty she deserved to win,KEEPING ONLY THE DANCING IN MIND.....Mona might call JDJ not a fully dancing competition, but a one where celebrities are involved, but I wouldnt buy it...Yes,its a CELEBRITY dance competition, and the fact that these are CELEBRITIES ended when the competition ensued.....From then on,all were on the same pedestal, they all are celebrities in their own right, and thereby the fact that the show involves celebs ends at the point when they started JDJ....Thier choice for contestants was based on their celebrity status, but ever since they started dancing,ONLY dancing should have been the criterion, and not who is the bigger or most popular celebrity....

and tina,CHILL...Maturity lies in IGNORING posts that are aimed at instigating you,not retaliating thus providing the perfect free of cost tamaasha and entertainment😉...and even I should learn to follow this in future😆

You're absolutely right there. As I mentioned later in my post, I don't have anything against Mona...it's not her fault that her popularity as Jassi gained her a lot of support. My problem is with people like Pooja Bedi, the Sony people and the media who had a big hand in tilting the odds in Mona's favour. They have no business interfering in the first place, and in any case the odds were already heavily in Mona's favour anyway (due her Jassi popularity), so there was absolutely no need for them to do what they did. Also, it is very low and rude to make personal attacks on someone's character in the media (ahem ahem Pooja Bedi).

That said, I think Mona could have done more to compete as Mona rather than as Jassi I don't think it was really needed for her to use her Jassi glasses in her performance (UP Bihar Lootne) and in the final episode and keep on saying 'Main aapki Jassi hoon' etc. Not that it's illegal or anything hehe 😛 But considering she was so desperate to shake off the Jassi image it was kind of strange to use it again for this. Moreover I really think she should move on from Jassi and create a new identity/image of herself. It'll be a pity if the audience only accepts her as Jassi and nothing else. I hear her next show is going to be an Indian version of Extreme Makeover. Sooner or later I think she should go beyond this 'ugly duckling turns swan' thing.

I understand but it really pains me to see the same "righteous" people defend such rude posts and ask me to chill . but thats life I guess . Instead of condoning such rude posts ,I am being asked to chill and not one person has still asked the person who wrote rudely to chill ..........

well i guess people are so angered right now that even civilised posts gets boooed and uncivilised ones get applauded.

and buffie , she used the jassi tag rigthly so coz she knew people identified her as jassi and she wanted to shed her image as jassi so that people recognise her as Mona , I hope u understood what i am trying to say .

as i said in one post that half baked for the ones who didnt support her but from POV , she was the perfect winner coz she played by the rules, she worked hard to learn dance, she performed well and she also campaigned well .why would she feel that her victory was half baked when she did her best and gave it all. would u feel ur victory is half baked in any competition when u know u gave ur best shot and worked hard for it .

thats what I tried to say that she was not responsible for the injustice to svetha and she should be acknowledged as the official winner of JDJ whether deserved or not coz she wasnt responsible for anything and she gave her best.

atlast a very nicely written post.I respect you and ur views . yeah she need s to shed her image and she is trying to do so . But when u enter a competition , u give it all and use strategy to garner votes .Thats the fact . she did the same , yeah she wore the jassi glasses coz people liked her as jassi and identified with her and still call her the same , afterall she gave 2 years of her life being jassi for inside and outside world, why not make use of it .Tell me if svetha had played jassi and people identified her as jassi then wouldnt she do the same thing and theres nothing wrong in it as she played by the rules and made use of the character that she brought alive with her acting .

yes she wants to shed her image and yeah thats what she participated in JDJ but did u see her reality episode where people called her jassi and loved her as jassi . she made use if it ,int he same dance she starts out by wearing the jassi image but ends up shedding that image and comes out on her own .

thank you ,atleast there is some with whom I can have a civilised decent debate without being bashed

I didnt defend anyone,I only asked you to chill, because I believe maturity doesnt lie in openly fighting on public forums(I've dont it in the past, but am trying my best not to in future)...I didnt defend anyone,I only asked you not to care tuppence about posts, which are aimed solely at instigating and mocking....I didnt defend that,Just requested you something😉

It amuses me too,That someone as "righteous" as you,who gets so offennded at a word like "COw" openly support the biasness of people when they vote for reasons other than dance....I have never claimed to be the "Ms.Goody two shows",Infact more known to be the shaitan😈

But someone who claims to be "mature and sensible" defends Pooja bedi's mudslinging, calling it "her opinion",and the biasness of people, calling it"their opinion"...Now why does your maturity desert you when it comes to defending the open character annihilation...

Do you honestly applaud the way the post was written ,if thats the case then I cant help it but as i said several times, the way the post was written was ceratinly offending and thats what i meant .

and secondly , if u have read my posts ,I have clearly said respect peoples opinions and I still stick to that . Have i ever said that your opinions arent correct or wrong , I have disagreed with it ,yes but I have never disrespected it .I may have been offended by the way the posts were written but the views were ceratinly respected.

the same buffie who defended mermaid and several others when something was written against them is not defending me when you know that the post written in reply to mine was written rudely and infact asking me to chill and act matured when I have written my post in the civilsed best . I havent taregtted anyone nor use harsh words .infact i even apologised yet u write tons of reply to my posts and completely ignore the ones who actually wrote harshly .

But someone who claims to be "mature and sensible" defends Pooja bedi's mudslinging, calling it "her opinion",and the biasness of people, calling it"their opinion"...Now why does your maturity desert you when it comes to defending the open character annihilation...

yes I still agree with her opinion which she said in the JDJ finale . the post was abt the judges failing to acknowledge the winner and someone had said that the judges are entitled to feel dejected bcoz they supported svetha and hence were shocked and entitled to their reaction so i wrote that if thats the case then pooja was right to express her opinion too and entitled to support and rejoice .

opinions vary...Your golden advice might do you some good this time"Respect others' opinion,no need to to contradict, especially when you accuse others of doing the same"

see again its me who is being tagetted ,for what ,for requesting a fellow member to not write rude posts and I have nothing personal against her or anyone . ofcourse I have respected everyones opinion and still do,its the rude and nasty posts that I am against .I hope u understood atleast now

Buffie,

One article comes positive about shveta as opposed to 10000 negative. Just look at the "hungama" .. and laugh out loud..most fans have moved on, but some have to stick around. Seemingly, forum fan support is of topmost importance to celebrities 😆

if celebrity says they want to become fat as looks don;t matter, these fans will come out loud, give a bhashan and clap.. then the celebrity says they need to shed 6 kg, the same fan will come out louder, give another bhashan and clap more.. It goes on and on and on.. one should just admire the great fanship here.

ash is already 33.. now i get to feel much "closer" to abhi by age for the next 7 days 😆 😆
