R. Madhavan is shy boy no more as he demonstrated by cavorting to one of the hottest Bollywood numbers on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. The 40-year-old was on the dance reality show to plug his new film 'Tanu Weds Manu.' Curiously, the film's female lead, Kangana Ranaut, gave the show a miss. Madhavan danced with Mahi Vij as partner; the duo wowed the audience with their performance on Shilpa Shetty's Shool (1999) item number 'Main toh Aie Hu UP Bihar Loot Ne'. Mahi, 28, a TV actress is a contestant on the show. Madhavan was elated with the praise he received for his performance from show judge Madhuri Dixit.

"I met THE MADHURI DIXIT NENE today...she said she love my work .. MY YEAR IS MADEEEEe.. YIPEEEE," Madhavan tweeted.
