Feb 1st performances
ok can I just say how much I loved that everyone danced at the end to Munni...I thought that was such a great moment! loved to see all of them together😳 AND I think everyone minus Shekhar did an excellent job this week👏👏👏

Mahi-Savio 8 Stupendous performance....amazing expressions by Mahi👏. and I loved the concept...it was definately not what I was expecting.....the act had me in tears, just very empowering and powerful

Shekhar-Preeti- not even going to bother🥱 but I must say I feel very bad for Preeti

Ankita-Nishant-10....WOW...I think this is Anki's best....I used to think no one can top Shaleen-Daljit's shadow act in NB4...but Ankita-Nishant surpassed them by a mile....I agreed with Malika about the scenery...it was such a beautiful touch to it...and Ankita was so graceful.....she was fabulous

Sushant-Shampa..10- do I even need to say anything😍 Gosh that smile he kept on giving...and Shampa looked like a doll....I loved their aerial act much more than Salman-Yana's for sure.....and I loved the little moment in the end with Chang and Sushant😆 and I agree with Chang...top 3 are definitely Sushant,Yana and Chang

Group overall 9- I think this one was better than yesterday's group dance....minus Shekhar everyone did stupendous...esp Mahi IMO👏

Shekhar-Preeti- 5 it was meh as always🥱 he was so behind in the movements🥱

Mahi-Savio 9- Mahi is improving SO much on her expressions...and I thought she was underrated in this performance👏

Ankita-Nishant 9.5- Ankita's expressions were awesome....when I saw her I was a bit shocked...lol I was like WOAH Archu😆😆😆 but she did fabulous

Sushant-Shampa- 9 this one disappointed me a bit...both were doing fab but coordination was off....but my eyes were on Sushant the whole time...damn that guy can move😳

I swear if Shekahr doesnt get out this time...I will destroy something😡🤢

Aww man...I didn't realize there was an actual post to discuss the performances...I just went all out on a another poll thread instead. lol anyways, next time I guess.

1st Feburary:

Mahi and Savio: 9 - Loved the concept, it was truly touching...there definitely could have been more dancing on the floor, but some of the extra touches they added, such as swinging around with the cradle or the last 'suicide' pose on the staircase railings..really well done by Savio. I liked the amount of almost violent movement in this act...the running, dragging, sliding...it was all done very smoothly and without pause. My favourite moment and step had to be where Mahi is clinging on to Savio around the chest like a baby with her legs drawn up and he 'wails'...it totally sold the grief they were trying to convey.

Well said! 👏 That's how I felt about their performance as well. I find that this pregnancy/miscarriage concept has been used often, but this act was special with the way these touches were used, like you've mentioned. I think that struggle, and that 'violent-ness' as you said, was shown really well. All these hit and miss type moments like Mahi reaching out for that...I want to say teddy bear? And then not making it...and then again with the crib. And of course that last 'suicide' pose you mentioned. Touches like these really made you FEEL that grief. There was also this sense of Mahi almost acting like a child and Savio consoling her...touches like Savio cradling Mahi in his arms enhanced that. It was truly a touching performance.

Ankita and Nishant: 9.5 - Loved how they played around with sizes like Remo pointed out...that was the high point of the act for me. Ankita is as always very graceful and Nishant's choreography was good as well...both of them maintained great sync throughout. They should've avoided coming to the front though or incorporated that into their concept somehow and made up a reason for it...still, the most interesting act of this week for me!

I liked the sizes bit too as well as the poses/forms they made with their bodies behind the shadows. That was really well done. I agree with the transitions while coming to the front etc...they kind of brought the performance down a bit for me.

Combining both days:

1) Chang-Marischa: 9/10.....loved Marischa's choreography once again and they both bring a sweetness to their acts that I really like.....Chang is a constant improvement and it's great to watch👍🏼

Word. These two really do bring a sweetness. I love that about their acts too. :)

3) Yana-Salman:
8.5/10......I felt the song was not well edited....the choreography lacked flow....the stunts in the aerial portions were VISIBLY clumsy which I was surprised to see given how Salman is such a pro at this stuff from DID days.....but Yana fell behind and was disappointing in this act to me.....the discomfort showed on her face in many moments.....and the ending was so abrupt....I was sitting there wondering if I really just saw the end....lol

This performance was a let down in terms of Yaana and Salman's standards. As you said, you could tell the were having trouble/the difficulty was visible. I didn't think they used the song well either and the choreography wasn't that innovative in my opinion. The whole song was a bit sad in its mood...shouldn't the mood of the whole dance have reflected that? Maybe it's just me...but I think they should've picked a different song for a romantic/close kind of a concept they were going for.

6) Sushant-Shampa: 10/10.....BEST act of the week, without a doubt.....Malaika put it best....these two put their SOUL in every single act and flow sooooooo beautifully together that it's a treat to watch every single time.....it was a simple act in many ways....but they brought out the SOUL of the song so well....and they did very well in the aerial bits as well.....the dance and the flow was not compromised for the sake of acrobatics....that I found very impressive.

Again, WORD! 😆 Especially love the way you worded that last bit. It felt like the arial bits were a PART of the dance if that makes sense. It was used to enhance the mood of the performance instead of a you know as a side prop or something. These two actually add MOMENTS in their dance you know what I mean? I think that's why their dancing has soul. And it has layers and depth. Like even in a romantic song...it's not just on one level. There's layers to the whole performance, from being playful to passionate to romantic and soulful, to deep rooted love, to just being happy in love...all these layers just come across beautifully when these two perform! I'm in love with this team! They're so damn awesome together! Loved what Shampa said about Sushant as well, that everyone should get a partner like him! If that isn't the sweetest thing to say! Aww, bless these two! :)

The relay....I LOVED Ankita's Munni Badnaam.....lol....that girl deserved top marks for that.....and Mahi showed a marked improvement in expressions in her bit too.....Sushant goofed up for a change😆....surprised the judges didn't mark him for that....but oh well.....Yana was totally OFF in sooooooo many places too....nothing rajasthani much in her act.....Chang-Marischa did very well. YES, thank you! I LOVED Ankita's munni badnaam too!! *high five* She was SO into it and totally having a blast! Such fun expressions she gave. 😆 And yeah Sushant totally goofed up, but lucked out as the judges totally didn't clue in on that. :S lol Yeah, Yana was def. off, I felt that too. The energy was lacking too. And I loved Chang and Marisha as well! Marisha's really awesome I have to say! :)

Shekhar Suman is not worth commenting on. LOL exactly....word again. ;)

P.S. LOVEDDDDDDDDD Daya's act.....and what an amazing human being....I'll miss his presence on the show. Me toooo. Aww finally he gave such an awesome performance. Maybe it was the no pressure thing like Madhuri was saying. lol Aww he really is such a genuine and warm human being. I've gotten fond of him too.

Man, that Shekhar dude should've left instead. I can't even stand the sight of him on the show anymore. Hatao yaar already. Jeez. 👎🏼

I also want to add, that I really loved Chang and Marisha's performance this week. Marisha's really creative with the way she added little moments to the performance. Things like sliding/the raindrops on the box. And everytime the lyrics went "paas aajayen" it was cool how the two got closer in different ways each time. They made everything look so easy, when actually it's quite challenging to slide like that so smoothly and with the right speed/timing. And also the way they would disappear and appear and stuff...it was all really easy to the eye. I loved the ending too with the that 'going down the steps together' bit. Such a light, sweet and soulful performance! Like Madhuri said, it looked like it was so effortlessly and easily done which I think deserves praise. I think this is the first time for me that I enjoyed another performance equally as much as Sushant and Shampa's. These two are just so damn cute! 😆

Overall a really enjoyable week with really innovative performances/concepts. And I feel bad for the contestants for the double dhamaka thing. Aww...these guys have so much on their plate already. I have no idea how they manage to do this, but hat's off to their commitment. 👍🏼

Mahi and savio -9 -
AMAZING expressions .. and i agree with the comments about the "violence" or "roughness" in their act... Savio did a fab job incorporating stuff like teddy, crib , the baby's pic ...
had a lump in my throat everytime these props were used .. like when she tried to make a grab for the teddy but couldnt .. when she was swirling the crib around , when she was hugging the pic .. aww..😔 ...
but yes , the dance part could have been better , as remo said ...
well , she had to make people cry and she succeeded in doing that 👍🏼

Ankita and Nishant - 9.5 -
This was Nishant's best .. absolutely loved it ..
One of Ankita's biggest plus point has been her expressions and thats why i got worried when she got shadow dancing as her challenge ... I was just praying that nishant comes up with something decent ..
I thoroughly enjoyed it .. and great song selection , and visuals ..
I just wish she had gotten one 10 at least ..
I just got a feeling that one of the ladies - madz/malaika were thinking about giving her a 10 .. but then changed their mind after hearing remo's criticism about some part in the choreography ..
just a feeling , i might be wrong..
(lol.. sushant went "yes!" after her performance ..😆)

Sushant and shampa- 10 -
No one uses the lyrics & tune of the song as well as these do !!! In their performances .. the song lyrics/music , concept , and the dance merge together so well , there is no disconnect whatsoever between these three elements ..
There was finesse , and not much fumbling .. and the performance just flowed beautifully ..and never felt like .. " ok ,so we got aerial , and we finished dancing on ground , so now , lets climb on the ropes "
as usual , they made the theme a part of their dance..
And yes , they didnt let go of their expressions ...

(and ok , i just had to say this - sushant and renukaji have the cutest smiles on the show ...)
Ah , I felt so happy when the judges commented about their performances being so soulful ...

Ok , coming to their relay -

Sushant - 7.5
Mahi - 8.5
Ankita - 9
For the first time , I was a bit pi*sed that sushant got a perfect score 😆.. both the gals beat him hollow this time ..
Did the judges see the same "kaal dhamaal" that i saw ? full coordination gadbad..
I think sushant wasnt well prepared .. and i am just worried for him ( and all the other tv actors - anki , mahi , ragz ... they are barely managing to prepare for one performance ... two is just going to kill them - with exhausion and sleep deprivation ..)
I thought ankita rocked it 😆 ..dhaasu expressions !! .. for me she was the best in the relay .. mahi was good too .... just a bit more energy and it would have looked better..

YES, thank you! I LOVED Ankita's munni badnaam too!! *high five* She was SO into it and totally having a blast! Such fun expressions she gave. 😆 Exactly....she was so BINDAAS and having fun....that is what made it fun to watch too😆

wow this week was really good =)
Mahi- Savio: 9 okay i have to say she totally made me cry my eyes out Savio did an amazing job making mahi cry like that O_O. to be honest i liked it alot but i wish it had been a tad bit longer and also have alittle bit more dance from mahi but her emotions were WOW.
Shekhar and Preeti- .05 lol seriously its not even worthy of a point
Ankita and Nishant- 9.5 okay by far my favorite Aankita and Nishant performance EVER! so pretty i just wanted to watch more and more ahhh i have to give props to nishant for once.
Sushant and Shampa- 10 first of all. Im not oging to compare Yana's performance to Sushant's because thats pretty much why they got the same challenge =_=

Wonderful analysis by people here! I'm really enjoying reading everyone's reviews.

Okay, my ratings for 1st Feb:

1.) Mahi and Savio: 9😭👏

Very nice act. She had to make the audience cry and she succeeded. Very good prop ideas and the expressions were bang on. Since I'm a sucker for the concept part of the dance, even more than the actual dance itself at times 😃 - I would have really liked to see some solution, something positive in the end- some sort of message- maybe adoption?

But anyways, that is just the thinker in me. Overall, a very nice act.

2.) Shekhar and Preeti: Umm.. 3. I felt bad for Preeti more than for Shekhar.

3.) Ankita and Nishant: 9.5😲👏

Wow! I mean seriously WOW!! It was one of the best acts this week, visually very pleasing and interesting, and also very well choreographed. Ankita and Nishant were truly at their best. The background visuals were BEAUTIFUL!- and I loved the way they played with sizes. A lot of effort and brain must have gone into this act and it was indeed one of the most impressive acts of JDJ. I agree with Remo's point about the transitions however and so I've deducted a half mark for that (28.5/30).

4.) Sushant and Shampa: 10!!! 👏

Every one has written and analysed their performance so well (Nureat and cute2stay in particular 👏). I'll just repeat what I wrote in the 'best performance' thread.

A simply mind blowing act. Not only was it difficult, but also was extremely touching. The aerial act looked beautiful and was used to enhance the mood set by the song and their chemistry. The choreography and expressions did complete justice to the song. Their act in the air was going on according to the lyrics I felt, for example: they rose up together when the lines 'Aasman ko bhi yeh, haseen raaz hai pasand' came and also they were swinging together when the lines were 'Jaane kya bole mann, dole sun ke badan.'

Madhuri was so right about the act- it had a SOUL and induced emotions. She was right about the smile part too, I had the biggest smile on my face when this performance was going on. Sushant and Shampa had excellent chemistry between them- not the hot roaring type, but the cute, snuggly, romantic, deeply in love type. The part where Sushant comes down the slide right behind Shampa and hugs was simply so so sweet. Similarily the part where he waves and calls her and she is terrified to come, and the way the whole act ends with Sushant looking at her lovingly with that adorable smile.. too good! Aww..😳

Coming to the relay performances:

No one deserved 10 according to me.😃

1.) Shekhar Preeti: Didn't observe him very well, so can't comment in detail. Sorry!😳

2.) Ankita Nishant: A nice job by them, but maybe the effect of the original is too much on my mind, so I found the performance a little thanda. The way they danced in the end with everyone else was the way they should have danced in the song in the relay.

3.) Mahi Savio: Very glamorous and gorgeous. But in a couple dance, the difference in energy levels of the two partners sticks out as a sore thumb. Savio's energy was much greater. Plus there was little dance in the beginning, when you have very little time to perform, you should get straightaway to dancing, do something interesting in the beginning itself to catch the audience attention. Maybe she would have done better in a song like 'Honth Rasile'.

4.) Sushant-Shampa: Okay, it was not a perfect performance. But it was very energetic, choreography was good and Shampa did very well. I've heard many people say coordination was off- honestly I don't know- the first time I saw it in the 'coming up section' I felt coordination was bad, but when I saw the overall dance I felt it was okay 😆 Anyways I felt their dance was better than others overall.

So for me, rating would be:

Sushant Shampa: 9 ⭐️⭐️

Mahi Savio and Ankita Nishant: 8.5

Shekhar Preeti: (Honestly I don't know- umm.. okay 7.5)

I would say
Jan 31st :
for individual performances
1) Chang & Marisha : 10+/10

2)Yana & Salman : 9.5/10

3) Raagini & Neerav : 9/10

For Malaika special relay :
Raagini & Neerav - 9/10

Chang & Marisha - 8.5/10

Yana & Salman - 8/10

Feb 1st :
1) Sushant & shampa : 10++/10

2) Maahi & Savio : 9/10

3) Ankita & Nishant : 8.5 /10

4) Shekhar & Preeti : 3/10 !..only becoz I dont wanna give zero to any1 . IMO even if he would have completed his act ; looking at what he did in one minute could have resulted only in 6-7 marks by each judge 😉

For relay :
Sushant & Shampa : 9/10

Maahi & Savio :8.5/10

Ankita & Nishant : 8.5/10

Shekhar & preeti : 7/10

Anuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! 🤗🤗 Aww I was hoping you would read my post and reply/do that! 😆 🤗 Man, yaar...just been busy with stupid real life stuff. Boo. I would log in beech mein but would be too lazy/too short on time to actually type up posts. :( Khair, aww super nice to see you tooo!! :D 🤗

Exactly.....honestly since their past few performances I'm getting the sense that they don't even LISTEN properly to the song they use.....last week was still better in terms of dancing I felt even though they were TOTALLY off when it comes to what the song "tujhe bhula diya" was trying to convey...it's a song of PATHOS....and they were grinning throughout it in a romantic sort of fashion😕.....and the same thing happened with "yeh dooriyaan"....again a song of angst/pathos and they were instead just twirling around in happy/romantic poses😕....the song seems inconsequential to them in their choreography....it's like they just decide that these are all the moves they want to put into their routine regardless of what the song is.....😕 Thank you! Word! That's exactly what I felt about Salman and Yaana last week too. They were way too smiley and happy on a frickin' sad song! 😕 So weird. Plus both the songs "yeh dooriyan" and "tujhe bhula diya" have so much pathos as you said, and so much depth to them! Their performances just didn't do justice to these songs at all! 😕 And exactly, their performances to me seem like it might as well be ANY song and they'd be doing those same moves. The concept/song hardly matters to their performances. Honestly, they've started seeming repetitive to me too. It's always the same romantic kind of mood they create. I mean I'd give Salman the credit of thinking up of really challenging choreography, but there's hardly any soul to their performances. I can never really connect to them. And even the romantic-ness is only on surface level. The only performance of their's I've really liked is the "chori kiya" one since there the song was totally appropriate to their style of dancing and they did complete justice to it. Even the 'taare zameen par' performance was really well done, even though that one was pretty surface level too. I'd totally give Salman and Yaana the credit of being able to do all this challenging choreography, but there has to be SOME thought, some meaning to it!! 😕 Dance is an art, it's an expression of your soul...it's not just physical body movement, right? 😕

Anyways, I'm also starting to be convinced of my theory that Salman really can't bring out more than his 'romantic hero' side through his dancing. I've seen that through DID as well. The guy can really move, but I just wish he'd express more through his dance! 😕

Anyways, no offence to Salman fans or anything...I have nothing against the guy, I appreciate his talent. I'm just critical of it at the same time as well. I wish he'd do something different at this point.

Oh and word on everything you said about Sushant-Shampa's performance and Chang-Marisha's as well! 👍🏼 :)
