I read a few posts on the bollywood forum critiquing madhuri's judging abilities so I decided to open a topic for a proper discussion on this issue. do you think she lacks judging abilities? is she way too sweet for a judge? do you think she's biased? how would you rate her as an overall judge?

quite frankly, I'm just happy and glad to see her on the show 😃 it's such a special fangirl hour for me to see her sit there week after week and work her magic *swoon* 😆 but seriously, I don't feel that she lacks the 'judging' ability because she focuses more on the expressions aspect - which is just as important as the technique/style. we have remo to focus on the technique aspect, and we don't need 3 remos on one show. he does a good job of pointing out technical flaws in the routine while madhuri talks about the expression and how much 'soul' the couple put into their performance. a performance that has no heart is equivalent to trash anyway 😊

I haven't particularly noticed her being 'biased' towards a particular couple, but then again, I have never really thought of that aspect. so I might be wrong here.

wat nonsense abt madhuri's judgement?? im satisfied abt her judgement on the show. jab malaika judge ban sakti hain tho madhuri kyun nahi?? madhuri is so better than malaika when judging the dance

i like madhuri as a judge ... and i find her to be encouraging and unbiased..
and we have remo to judge the dances technically ...

I think Madhuri is very good, yes she is very sweet towards every1, but then we should remember that it's just a T.V. show and it shows her respect to every1 and that she doesn't believe she is a goddess or somethin to make harsh comments on people.

Secondly, as said above if mallaika can judge than there's no question abt Mads crediability. what does Mallaika know abt dance, just becase she did some steps in chaiya chaiya and munni and shed some clothes that doesn't make good enough (we are talking here abt dancers and not about item girls) she is a celebrity of nothing.

I think she's a sweet and knowledgeable judge...quite entertaining as well. I've already made a long post here, and listed some more of her qualities in detail in that post.

It's really sad if people are criticizing Madhuri's judging skills. What they want her to do? Yell or be rude to the participants? I believe Madhuri herself been gone through a phase where she was a student learning dance, knows very well that how does it feel being yelled at. She makes it a point to tell participants where they lacked at the same time making sure that she does not bring their spirits down.

Not to forget the fact that, she being THE MADHURI DIXIT, her rudeness & criticism can leave hell lot of impact on participants then usual judges. She has her own way of judging and I don't think it's right to call it wrong.

All said, I feel some people will always try to stay out of the league with their opinions, they take pride in 'standing out from crowd.' If maximum people love & admire certain judge, they'll come up with some points to prove how that judge ain't good & if huge strength of people don't like a particular judge, they'll come up with points to prove how that judge is actually cool & knows what he's doing. They don't realize it's always easy to sit on the couch with a bowl of popcorn & say "man that person is way too sweet & sugary.. he ain't apt for the position of judge" or "heyy dude that person is such a critique & so harsh, he must certainly make an awesome judge" but when YOU are subjected to such a harsh judge, you come out cursing him. It's important to maintain a balance between your criticizing skills & admiration skills & Madhuri always tries to do that.

Coming on to Madhuri giving more marks to people speaking 'Marathi', well I'll just say that had she been giving marks on basis 'who can speak Marathi' than all the participants would get high marks from her because every second person living in Maharashtra knows how to speak Marathi.

P.S - Personally, nothing really matters to me. I just love Madhuri to bits & am happy watching her on screen, everything else can go to dust-bin 😆
