About Circus:
The circus comes to JhalakI never imagined that the ''Circus'' theme of this episode would turn out to be so entertaining. It was fun to watch a different twist to dancing. Today, the way each one of the contestants used the stage, the props and the innovative choreography, it was a treat to watch.
With only the Top Five left in the fray, the competition is getting very serious. Gauhar looked every bit a doll. I know how difficult it is to keep one's balance on the trampoline (we have one at home). Yet, Gauhar and Himanshu did such an amazing job.
Parul and Deepak were very funny and cute and used an unusual prop like a treadmill. Yet in comparison, the level of difficulty seemed higher in Gauhar's performance. Until then it was easy to judge….
But then everybody seemed to be doing so well. Karan's performance was so dramatic and unusual that I was simply taken aback. Baichung's act was beautiful and equally unusual. It did seem a bit short but that was because of the technical difficulty in the movement of the rings and of no fault of theirs. By the time they realised the problem it was too late to rectify it.
As for Hard Kaur, she and Savio always bring something extra special to their act. One has come to expect a lot from this team and what is commendable is that they always rise above all expectations. They did this time too!
Shilpa just gave up the fight! |
|
| | I am very saddened by Shilpa's elimination today. I know that someone has to go out every week, but this was not how it was expected to be. Parul performed first and was so good that I was sure that judging was going to be simple. But then came Shilpa and simply blew us away. The way she started off—the power and the energy—it was tremendous. I was in a terrible dilemma—whom should I vote for—when Shilpa dropped the stick in her hand. I thought she was going to quickly pick it up and continue, but she stood rooted and gave up the fight. Shilpa is such a fighter, it is sad to see her go this way. I suppose she was simply tired of being in the dance off yet another time and just let go. It happens. | | |
'I am enjoying every minute of this show' |
|
| | The competition is getting very tough on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Everybody is working so hard. Each week the improvement is there for all to see. Hard Kaur does not fail to amaze me with her performance, week after week. She is an entertainer and is comfortable with performing live, but on this show her graph as a dancer has grown remarkably. She has transformed right before my eyes. Parul, too, has emerged a complete surprise packet. When she came she was this timid, shy girl and look at the way she has changed. Her confidence and the way she dances, her body language is simply unbelievable. Although today's performances were nothing out of the blue, what made the episode a great one was the presence of Ali Asghar. He is simply mind blowing. He simply lifted the episode and took it to another level. His Rishi Kapoor act was superb. The Raj Kumar and Hema Malini impersonations were very good, too. But his Aamir Khan one had me in splits and brought back memories of another day. This episode is a laugh riot. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. When I accepted this show I wasn't sure if I was doing right but now I can say that I am enjoying every moment of it. | | |
I''ll miss Monica Bedi |
|
| | It was sad to see Monica eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She has worked so hard and improved so much in these last few weeks that she has been on the show. From the beginning she was the one girl who remained focused on the job at hand and worked tirelessly. She is not only a good dancer, but a good human being, too. She never said anything to hurt anybody. She has always been very proper in her behaviour. It could not have been an act or she would have slipped up sometime. The girl has been through a lot in life and it has made her a strong person. It showed in the manner in which she took her elimination. It was unfortunate that she had to be in the dance off. | | |

Shilpa is a tough nut |
|
| | Shilpa Shukla and Monica Bedi are both very talented and hard working girls. Shilpa seems to be a very strong girl, but the manner in which she broke down before the dance off—I was worried if she would be able to perform. But she took me by surprise with her powerful performance. There is something about her that comes from a power within. She is a fighter. It was anybody's day. But for me Shilpa's powerful performance had an edge over Monica's. So Monica had to go. Saturdays are always tough but now it is becoming more and more difficult. | | |
