What I liked most about her and which nobody on the forum felt is worth discussing is her shyness in asking for votes - after one of the performances she said, "I always used to think, how will I be able to ask for votes from audiences (since voting requires money!), but there is no other choice so please do as much as you can".

This was so genuine. She seems to realize that asking people to vote for her is like asking people to spend their hard earned money on her.

I just wish other celebrities were as understanding as her.

You are good girl. Wish you all the best!

I appreciate that she thinks that way but idon't think it's celebrities .It's jdj format if they have to survive then they need votes or otherwise they will be out.

Aww totally agree with you Butterfly ..

My perception of her has totally changed, for the better ..
Even I felt odd when SRK promoted her on the show .. but then that is what had happened in case of Mir Ranjan Negi last time around as well... so no problemo !

Ronitfan.......I agree that SRK provided some support to her but what I want to emphasize upon is that at least she understands what it is like for the common people who go out of their way to spend their money to vote for a particular person...she has acknowledged that fact which is something I would like to appreciate about her.

Afterall, as hello75 mentioned, it is the format which requires people to vote so we can't help it. That is why Shilpa comes out every week and ask for support fully knowing and understanding that it is not such a fair deal.

Yup I get that point ..

But then when she realized that the votes are a REAL big deal,
she should have really avoided getting
mileage from the SRK connection because frankly, according to me,
she could have done without it as well .. it's like undermining her claim on the votes
as a performer herself ..

Hope that made sense ..

I understand what you are trying to convey but I do not want to make SRK speaking for her as a big deal...she is one of the most low-key person in terms of popularity and has been very sincere, fun and hard working girl...I do not want to take away all that credit from her just because SRK spoke on behalf of her!

No no ..

Not taking away the credit AT ALL ..
just that it was a sort of a questionable beginning ..

She has worked hard to get where she is in JDJ, no doubt!

Yes .. and most probably the same line as well ..

Because I really want her or HK to win .. performance based ..
If it's down to votes, they cant , obviously ..

But you never know ..
