I would like to know how many of you guys like the concept of...

1) Prop round - elastic bands/steps/blindfold etc

2) Lip singing along with dance

How important is it to excel in above mentioned to prove oneself to be a good dancer??

Isn't an awe-inspiring, believable, full-of-expressions, conceptual and true to the dance style performance good enough??

Has anyone of you seen such rounds in 'Dancing with the stars' (american and british versions!)?

Another thing I want to say is that our country is full of various dance forms which are very beautiful and creative. Why can't we have all those dance forms as part of JDJ?? Why so much focus on western dancing especially when the judges themselves know little about those dance styles??

Share your views guys!! Thanks!

maybe u shud put karans name in the title u'll get loads more views
personally i agree that these things are not realy important but as for lip synching judges feel its important for some ppl and not for others so i cant really say anymoe on that
but ofcourse they shud do indian dance forms i agree but western dance forms are also good because it makes them an all rounded performer i think

Hehehe guys so you do agree that Karan's name will bring more replies to my post 😃

Well, I personally am not in favor of lip singing (or synching-whatever is the right word!)...focus should more be on dance and expressions rather than lip singing which is very bollywood-ish

Also, the use of props may bring out creativity but well i think there are better and more natural ways to bring out creativity....just improve upon the dance style and show your best with open eyes!!!

props bring out creativliy but lipsinging and concentrating on being a gud dancer is a bit of a stretch i watch the american version and it is so professional here and in JDJ3 the judges!!!!! JDJ3 is supposed to be the ame expect the indian version but compared it luks like a differnt show! the judges cannt judge and they all have favoirtes!

I also watch the American version Komal and JDJ3 can't even be compared to that. JDJ3 may look like it's inspired by the American version but in no other way do they look similar.

And in American version, they don't lip-sing - their focus is on dance and expressions...mostly when those people dance I am in awe and can't afford to even blink because I would miss an awesome expression or dance step!

Judges do screw up once in a while there too but most of the time they are very consistent and honorable!

To me, if theres emotion - who cares if u lip sync or not 😆 Props are good to use, shows if the dancer is confident about their routine, for example without props the dancer may be the best, with props they may freeze a bit, so it does show flexibility *thats not the word im tryin to think of lol*

I would love to see what marks these get from the judges of JDJ lol

I wouldn't mind the lip sync was mandetory for everyone... but unfortunately the judges (sorry, I will not call them deviyaan because I don't see their judging to be worthy enough to be called that) seem to have different rules for everyone.
Some contestants have been penalised for the lack of lip sync... but that penalty has not been consistant!
Look at Mr Ram Kapoor's performance in the wildcard round - lip syncing went out of the window in that, and yet he didn't get penalised!
And let's not forget... Mr Baichung B hardly ever lip syncs! 😆
God bless.
