Wow for a change, a good topic đ˛
Well, for me I agree and disagree with you.
You see, when it comes to a stage like JDJ, everything can't be black and white. So I am basing my comments simply on dancing and ignoring the rest.
For me JDJ is a dancing show, so I look for good dancing and would like to see the person win who has performed the best, whether a dancer or a non dancer. I mean channels have chosen the contestants who aren't exactly at the same level, so I will just take what I get, put them on the same level of platform for judging and move on from there.
Even in real life, no one is ever going to be at the same level when they start competing at school, colleges, or work. Thus, some people excel while others fall behind, no one is going to say "Hey he is smarter than me or he is more fit than me or richer than me" Nobody cares, all it matters is whether you are good at what is being offered. So for me, once on a stage, it shouldn't matter what kinda background one is coming from, all it matters is how well someone performs. So I choose a dancer any day over a non dancer because for me that is what JDJ is aiming at.
Now once you start applying your own preference, views and bias, the above statement might not look like a complete picture. Like for me WCs don't stand at the same level, or that it is OK for Isha to be given two weeks off based on her consistency, or that voting ruins the chance of seeing a deserving candidate on the stage. Thus because of the subjectivity of the views, we see people with different outlook on who really is deserving.
So all in all I think my scale tilts more on seeing a dancer win. But it hasn't happened till now, so I am not even sure if I should be hopeful.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I believe that everyone works hard one way or other. One might have to work on expressions, while other might have to work on Stamina, the third might have to work on steps, the fourth on lip syncing, and so on and so fourth. So I believe it is very immature of some to undermine one's hard work, while applaud the other. And judging one's performance on something subjective like hard work is very puzzling.
Disclaimer: Simply my take on the topic.
