Oh it has been happening since season 1.. Mona Singh and Shweta Salve were the final 2 and Mona kept repeating "apni Jassi ko vote keejiye" in the end Shweta who was a better dancer lost 😭

Spot on! I don't know about the contestants, but the channel definitely wants the contestants to reach out to the fans of their characters and manipulate them! AND usually, they are the ones who get more air time! It's all about money, money, and money!
