Jassi may have left the hip and happening glitz of Mumbai to live life in the boondocks on her show, but the party to celebrate the second anniversary of Sony's top show Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin rocked at Vie Lounge, Bandra. Armaan Sir (Apurva Agnihotri) and wife Shilpa Saklani (who plays Kkusum on the same channel), Nandu (Gaurva Gera), Raj (Parmeet Sethi) and wife Archana Puran Singh, Malllika (Rakshanda Khan), Rhea (with her spouse), most of the well-known actors from the show, put in an appearance. But hey, where was Purab (Sameer Soni)? Jassi entered the proceedings pretty late. She came with Rakshanda but spent most of the evening with Karan Oberoi. She also left with him. To another party? Or elsewhere? We're just being wicked! Most of the actors from Sony shows Kkusum, CID, Ye Meri Life Hai, Batliwalla House No 43, etc., came along to wish Jassi. It was also good to see competitors from rival channels - Aamna Sharif, Karishma Randeva, Shabir Ahluwalia, Vikas Sethi... Both the Gauris of tellydom (Tonk and Pradhan) showed up with their respective husbands - Yash and a rather inebriated Hiten Tejwani. Other celebs at the party included Milind Soman, Rohit Roy and Rakhi Tandon. Also spotted: contestants from Fame Gurukul (aren't they supposed to be living in recluse in an ashram-like atmosphere?) moving around cluelessly. Ishita Arun tagged along with her mother and judge from Fame Gurukul, Ila Arun. Javed Akhtar did the smart thing and avoided the event altogether. Host and SET EVP Tarun Katial provided good company to his guests. Producers Tony and Deeya Singh looked elated at the success of their show. On the downside: Jassi's skirt wasn't happening at all. | ||||
