Radhika Dwivedi |
Mumbai, August 7: What is your role in Shanno ki Shaadi? I play Arjun, a Sindhi NRI, who returns to India to get married. His parents want him to marry a traditional Sindhi girl. However he falls for a dhaba girl, Shanno, played by Divya Dutta and also for her delicious parathas. The serial has a weekend slot. Do you think this is a wise move? |
Divya's an awesome actress and it's great working with her. She's a close friend. I have known her for 10 years as we both began our careers around the same time.
Any off-screen relationships?
Right now the only girl in my life is Sanchi, my six-year-old daughter. I have been happily married for seven years to Punita
Karishma... was a rich production, shot in New Zealand and Dubai. I was cast opposite Karisma Kapoor. It was great to have Karisma around. She's achieved so much at such a young age. You also star in Marigold. How was it working with Salman Khan in an international production?
The international exposure was brilliant. I am looking forward to the release, as I plan to get myself an international agent for the American market. Salman is a sweet man to work with, besides being one of the more good-looking actors in India and possibly abroad. Any other Bollywood projects?
Besides Marigold, I have Chudiyaan with Gracy Singh and Vinod Khanna, which is being shot in both Hindi and Punjabi. I am also doing Pyaar Mein Twist starring Dimple Kapadia, where I play Rishi Kapoor's son. I was offered this role by Rishi Kapoor while we were chatting on the treadmill at the gym. What about your role in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin?
I play CJ Oberoi, a character who creates havoc in Jassi and Armaan's life. Although it's a negative role, I chose it because I like to surprise my fans with different roles.
Do you plan to continue with your music career?
Definitely. I'm releasing my new album in a few months
