Finally it is time for Jassi to leave. At the airport, JandA are a little wistful and teary-eyed. Armaan puts his hand on her cheek and whispers, "Apna khayal rakhna!"
Jassi: (choking) Tum bhi!
He takes out something from his pocket and shows it to her. It is a beautiful ring, with some mysterious symbols and a glowing red stone on top.
She looks inquiringly at him.
He laughs a little bemusedly. "Yeh maine Meghna se liya hai…."
She can't suppress her exclamation. "Kya!"
Armaan: (grinning in embarrassment) I know! Maine kabhi, khud nahin socha tha ki main kabhi Meghna ke mumbo-jumb pe vishwas karunga….lekin pyaar aur darr, insaan se bahut kuch karva dete hai!
She clasps his hand tightly. He looks deeply into her eyes and says, "Jassi, Meghna ne kaha ki yeh ring tumhari raksha karegi,….pata nahin ye sach hai ya nahin, par mera dil ye manna chahta hai….issliye main ye tumhe pehna raha hun…."
He slips the ring onto her finger. She brings it close to her lips (without taking her eyes off him) and kisses it. He grabs her hand and brings it close to his heart, but his finger presses the red stone, and the lid of the ring flies open. Inside there is some sort of greenish powder in a transparent vial. It is apparently giving off a very unpleasant smell, for JandA wrinkle up their noses in disgust.
Jassi: (gasping) Yeh kya hai Armaan?
Armaan: (blankly) Pata nahin….yeh uski koi magic potion hogi….tumhari raksha karne ke liye… (shrugs) Whatever….tum isse band hi rakhna….! (closes the lid and grins at her)
They hug, but as they break off, Jassi is looking a little worried. "Abhi tak wo dono nahin aaye….marketing research team leader aur legal adviser….unke bina wahaan saara set-up, main akele kaise karungi?"
Just then a sprightly girl comes rushing up, her baggage in tow. She stops before them, gasping. "Jassi ma'am….sorry I'm late!....wo taxi nahin mili…."
Jassi: (anxiously) Koi baat nahin Shaina….lekin Prashant kahaan hai…usse bhi toh yahaa pahuch jaana chahiye tha….research ke liye data collect toh ussi ne karna hai.."
Shaina: Ma'am….Prashant has broken his leg!
Jassi: Oh no!
Armaan: Kab?
Shaina: Abhi 2 ghante pehle….wo bathroom mein slip kar gaya….lekin usne data collection software ki CD bheji hai…..kum se kum isse hum kaam shuru kar sakte hai….baaki hum usse email karte rahenge…ma'am you don't worry, I'll do my best!
Jassi looks a little subdued, so Armu slips his arm around her waist comfortingly. "Jassi, bas meri baat yaad rakhna….ko problem hoti hi mujhe phone kar dena!"
She nods and blinks away tears as she walks away towards the check-in. Once she is seated in her flight, she sighs and leans back in her seat.
"Babaji…..iss trip ki kaamyaabi, aapke haath mein hai….hamare sapne ko poora karne mein hamari madad karna!"
