TV actress Pooja Ghai gets serious on TV

Pooja Ghai aka the submissive secretary of Armaan Sir in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin will be entering a new phase of her career in which she will be hosting a talk show called Fair and Lovely - Shikhar. Although anchoring is a first for Pooja, she does not give any signs of being uncomfortable with it. "I was more than relaxed while doing it. In fact, it was fun doing the show," she says. What's more, the show will have women achievers sharing their experiences in life. "It has women whose feats have been recorded in Guiness Book of World Records. We also have choreographer Saroj Khan and film director Kalpana Lajmi coming in," she adds. As for her being chosen to anchor this show, she replies, "I got a call from Adi Pocha, the producer of the show. Initially I said no because I thought I would not be able to do it. Then on his suggestion I auditioned for it. Things worked out later." What about her attire for the show? "I will be wearing Indo-western outfits like short kurtis and pants," she says. The show will be a weekly programme on Sonyand will be launched by mid August. The show will eventually turn into a reality show. Even she is busy shouldering her responsibility as an anchor we quiz her about how her role in Jassi… is shaping up. "There are a lot of surprises one can look forward to. I thought my track in Jassi… had ended when the producer called me to tell me that my track will be revived post Armaan's wedding."
