Armaan seems a little too excited to see Candy. Jassi shoots him a strange glance, but speaks graciously to Candy, "Hi Candy….nice to meet you."
Candy: Hey….the pleasure is all mine! Toh tum hi wo ladki ho jiske liye Armaan ne mera dil tod diya😕…..not fair Armaan! (taps him on the shoulder)
Jassi looks taken aback. There is an unconfortable silence for a moment, which Candy breaks by bursting into hearty laughter. Armu lets out his breath and joins in. Jassi smiles rather weakly.
Candy: Don't mind me Jassi….jab main 5 saal kit hi, tab maine Ila aunty ko keh diya tha ki main Armaan se shaadi karungi😲…..silly me! Mallika really hated me you know….. (laughs again)
Armu glances quickly towards Meghna and looks a bit embarrassed. Candy also looks chastened and says, "I'm sorry…..main kuch zyada bol gayi na..! But Jassi…I think you're the best girl for Armaan….and Armaan, tum pehle se bhi zyada cute ho gaye ho!"
She leans towards him and kisses him on both cheeks before anyone can blink an eyelid.😡 Then she grins and moves on to the other guests.
Armu stands there for a few moments, avoiding Jassi's eye. "Pata chalta hai….kaafi puraani dosti hai…." Jassi says acidly.
Armu: Awww c'mon Jassi….wo bachpan se aisi hi hai…mazaak karne ki aadat hai…..
He moves away, leaving Jassi fuming.
Nandu joins her. "Wo kaun hai, Jassi? Bahut smart hai!"
Jassi: Tujhse matlab? Teri abhi-abhi sagaai hui hai na….tu Beauty par dhyaan de….
Nandu: (bewildered) Arre…..main toh bas pooch raha tha….tujhe kya ho gaya?
Jassi: Kuch nahin!! Tum sab mard ek jaise hote ho!😆
She storms out into the garden, but can't resist peeking in after a while. She sees Armu and Candy in animated conversation, seemingly oblivious to her absence from the room.
Later, as the party is winding up, Candy says, "Well…..I must be going….i had a long flight…"
Angel: Arre…kahan ja rahi ho….come home with us…..
Candy: Leave it, Angel…..kaafi late ho gaya hai…kal mil lenge….right now I just want to go to my hotel and crash out….
Armu: Hotel? Hamare hote hue tum hotel mein rahogi? Bilkul nahi…..you have to stay with us! Hain na Jassi…..?
Jassi says blandly, "Jaise aap log decide kare…."
Ila also joins in. "Beta, tum aise kaise ja sakti ho…chalo, ghar chalo….."
Candy: Theek hai….aap log itna insist kar rahe hai toh…..
When they arrive home, Jassi rushes to put Ashish and Vedika to bed. Then she changes into her night clothes and sits on the bed, waiting patiently for Armaan.
After a while she nods off. Quite suddenly, she wakes; and for a moment she panics not to see Armaan. Then the sound of voices and laughter drifts up to her. She gets out of bed and finds Armaan and Candy in the garden, walking and apparently having a great talk.
Angrily, she closes the window to shut out the sounds, pulls the curtain across, and flings herself into bed. When Armaan tiptoes into the room a while later, she is sound asleep.
Tomorrow: Jealous jealous Jassi!😛
