Jassi should have signed it

By: Babli Acidwala
July 9, 2005

One good thing about Jassi, ever since its arrival a couple of years ago, is that the serial has always been progressive in its attitude and storyline, and has perhaps been the only non saas-bahu show to shine in the ratings chart.

And I was glad that they dealt with the controversial issue of pre-nuptial agreements, something so alien to our third world.

But it's a pity that Jassi and her fianc chickened out of signing the document, using the tired excuse of 'there's no need for paperwork in love'

. What a waste of an opportunity. Jassi ought to have gone ahead with the deal, and demonstrated to her many middle-class female viewers the importance of this tool in a world where marriages don't last. A world where love is a four-letter word.

I can see where the writer is coming from, but I personally think they did the right thing by not signing the documents. I think the article is written well though. Thanks for sharing.

yes .. but if she had to sign an agreement she should have at least changed some clauses.!!

she doent have to sign any pre-nup showed under her nose just to show middle-class female viewers the importance of it!! šŸ˜•

I was wondering... in Thursday's episode, why did Nandu tell CJ over the phone that Jassi had signed the pre-nup agreement? šŸ˜•
