Neha is sitting in Gulmohur's cafeteria, mulling over what she just overheard. Mr Malkani was telling Raj: "I'm quite sure ki Anuj Shastri ke murder mein, CJ ka hi haath tha….."😲
Neha thinks, "Toh kya Raj, mere husband ke murder ke baare mein pata laga rahe hai? Lekin kyun? Aur mujhe kuch kyon nahin bataya? Kyun Raj….aap par toh maine bharosa kiya tha….jab mera logon se bharosa hi uth gaya tha….aur aapne bhi…..?"😭
Unable to control herself, she dissolves into tears. Ruby mom and Nazneen, who are passing by, stop and try to ask her what the problem is, but she just nods wanly at them, gets up quickly and leaves. They are left staring after her in astonishment.
In Amritsar:
Amrit is telling Bua, "Behnji, ab toh bahut din ho gaye……hume waapas ghar chalna chahiye…"
Bua: (appalled) Hai Rabba….abhi din hi kitne hua hai aap logon ko yahaan aaye hue….nahin nahin, koi kahin nahi ja raha….kum-se-kum ek mahina aur toh rukna hi padega….
Puru: Ek mahina! Nahin behnji….please understand….Mumbai mein bahut saare kaam hai….Armaan ne Gulmohur ko sambhaalna hai……aur aakhir hum bhi kitne din aapko takleef….
Bua: Takleef? Lo samdhi ji….apno ke saath rehna ab takleef ho gayi…??
Ila: (hurriedly) Behnji, inka matlab hai, aapne hamari itni khaatir ki, yet oh hum kabhi bhool hi nahin sakte…par ab apne ghar ko bhi toh dekhna hai…aur Vedika ka school bhi khulne wala hai…..aap aisa kyon nahin karti, aap log kuch din hamare paas aake rahiye?
Bua: (sadly) Nahin…..bas ab iss umar mein apna pind hi changa lagta hai……itne din Billu praaji ke paas reh liye, Mumbai dekh liya…..ab aur nahin….
Bebe: Lekin Beauty aur Chaman ko toh hamare saath bhejegi na? Chaman toh Mumbai mein hi naukri karna chahta hai…aur Beauty bhi toh ab Gulmohur mein kaam karne lagi hai……
Nandu: (alarmed) Haan haan…..aur kya….Gulmohur ko Beauty ki bahut zaroorat hai…..usse toh aana hi hoga….
Bebe shoots him a knowing glance. But Bua looks stern.
"Nahin….Beauty ab yahin rahegi!"
Nandu nearly chokes on his aloo ka parantha. Bebe and Amrit stare at Bua.
Bua: Ab Beauty ko yahin rehna hai…uski shaadi ki umar ho gayi hai…..soch rahi hun, yahin pind mein koi achcha sa ladka dekh kar uski shaadi issi saal karva dun…..!
Bebe: Lekin…..
Nandu gets up quickly and leaves the room. Outside in the courtyard, Vedika is tossing a ball on the ground. "Nandu uncle, mere saath khelo na…!"
Nandu: (unhappily) Nahin Vedika…mera mood nahin hai!
Vedika: (coming closer) Kyun? Aap udaas ho? …
Nandu does not answer. He sits down moodily next to the tubewell.
Vedika: Koi baat nahin…..mood nahin hai toh mat khelo…lekin jab hum Bombay waapas chale jayenge, toh aap mujhe Essel World dikhane le jaana…okay?
Nandu: Haan Vedika, hum Bombay waapas ja hi rahe hai….lekin Beauty yahin rahegi!
Vedika: Kyun? Beauty maasi bhi toh aapke aur Mama-Papa ke saath kaam karti hai na?
Nandu: Ab nahin karegi….ab uski shaadi ho rahi hai!
He gets up abruptly and walks away towards the fields. Vedika sees her Jassi Mamma and goes running up to tell her, but Jassi has already over heard. She thinks, "Beauty ki shaadi……toh phir Nandu…?"
