Trust Shaina N C to add a touch of a good cause to a fashion evening, She, along with Hemant Trivedi hosted the Hobby Ideas Women Achievers fashion show, the proceeds of which will go for the cause of cancer patients. And instead of models walking the ramp, doing the catwalk were women achievers from various fields, from actors to doctors to administrators.
So one got to see Dolly Thakore merrily wave to the crowd from the ramp; Delnaazz Paul, Shama Sikander and Mona Singh shifted careers from television to modelling for the evening even as Aarti Chhabria dazzled in a Shaina creation handpainted using fevicryl acrylic colours and 3D outliners. Rajeev Paul was present to support wife Delnaazz, who looked a bit nervous initially. The evening was hosted by the bubbly Rakshanda Khan and was graced by the presence of Pankaj Udhas and Nana Chudasama. Fashion designer duo Karishma Lalani and Runali Bhagat ware also present. Speaking about the association of Hobby Ideas with the show, Apurva Parekh, Director, Pidilite Industries said, "The entire concept of Hobby Ideas is all about creativity, appeal and imagination. We have always acknowledged and believed in the strength of a woman's sense of workmanship and beauty." Shaina remarked, "Glamour without a purpose is meaningless. The idea of this show is that people go home with a message and sympathise to a cause of their own choice."
