UPDATE 11JANUARY: Hide-and-seek

Armaan sneaks down the corridor, finally locating Jassi's ward. He pauses, grins, looks around cautiously, and slips inside.

Jassi is roused from her sleep by a whisper of "Jassi….Jassi!"

She smiles dreamily and thinks, "Armaan…..bas karo na….ab sapno mein bhi mera peecha nahin chodoge?"

Armaan whispers, a tad more loudly this time: "Jassi utho….main hoon….Armaan!"

She opens her eyes slowly, dazedly, and stares at him uncomprehendingly. Opening her mouth to utter a cry of amazement, she is silenced by Armaan's gentle finger on her lips.

Jassi: (sitting up) Yeh tum hi ho ya….main sapna dekh rahi hoon?

Armu: (grinning) Main hi hoon Jassi…..tumhara sapna nahin, par tumhara Armaan….!

Jassi: Lekin tum yahaan……kya baat hai?

Armu: (grabbing her hand) Maine kaha tha na….main tumhare, aur hamare baby ke saath saara waqt bitaana chahta hoon….? Toh main….aa gaya..!

Jassi stares at him for a moment, then bursts out laughing. He looks taken aback. "What's the matter?"

Jassi: Tumne mera puraana chashma kyun pehna hai?

Armaan, who has forgotten to remove the glasses, takes them off a little bashfully. "Yeh poora get-up hi toh mujhe hospital mein itna andar tak la paya hai…..nahin toh tumhari wo khadoos nurse (grimaces)."

Jassi grins and shakes his cheek. "Tum paagal ho!"

Armu: Tumhe sharam nahin aati….Dr.Armaan Suri ko paagal kehta hue?

A sound outside alarms them. Someone is entering the ward. JandA stare at each other in alarm. In a panic, he ducks under the bed. The nurse on night duty enters to check on Jassi. Not suspecting anything, and satisfied that everything is okay, she leaves.

Jassi: Doctor sa'ab, aap baahar aa sakte hai….khatra tal gaya…!😆

Armu comes out sheepishly and sits on the edge of her bed. She chuckles for a few minutes, then gazes tenderly at him. "Armaan….tumne mera purana chashma abhi tak sambhaal ke rakha hai?"

Armu: Yeh toh hamesha mere saath rehta hai…..mujhe meri pyaari-si secretary ki yaad dilaata rehta hai…

They stare for a long moment. Then Armaan takes hold of her shoulders and draws closer for….well, you can guess…..😉😳

And then…..

Jassi screams.

Armaan: (alarmed) Kya hua Jassi?

Jassi:(gasping) Mujhe pains ho rahe hai…..labour pains!

Armu: (looking blank for a moment) Jassi tum….tum phir se mazaak toh nahin kar rahi ho na?

Jassi: Armaan I'm serious! Please nurse ko bulao…..go!!!

Armaan rushes off to find the very nurse whom he had been hiding from two minutes earlier.

Monday: The baby arrives!😃

Nice. It ended too soon, though. I was caught up in the dialogues. It seemed as if I was watching it on TV. Good Job. 👏 👏
