Shilpa’s scary experience

The actor was down with an eye infection

If you have been wondering why Shilpa Agnihotri is not to be seen in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus, the reason is that she was down with a terrible eye infection and conjunctivitis. Shilpa says, "Conjunctivitis has been in the air for quite some time now; Apoorva had been warning me about it and co-incidentally, one day after he warned me, I got it. And, it burgeoned to such proportions that I couldn't read, watch TV or even step out of the house for 15 days! But more than that, whilst I was getting cured, I contracted another eye infection, that affected my left eye so badly, that I had turned partially blind for four days! It was terrible because the infection got worse. Man, it was scary!"
The actor lost out on 20 days of work. "I had requested the production guys to cut down on my track because I wanted to spend quality time with my hubby. We realised that we were not being able to spend enough time together and in order to do that, I had cut down on my shoots, since Apoorva too was yet to start shooting for Kaajjal on Sony. Save for Rin Mera Star Superstar and a few days of shooting for KSBKBT, I was not working. So, people got this impression that I had vanished," she laughs.
However, Shilpa will resume shooting for KSBKBT, now that she has recuperated from the eye infection. The actor say she has learnt a lesson during the illness. "After four days of being unable to see, I have come to feel the trauma of those who have lost their sight for life! One thing this eye infection taught me is to value things that we take for granted," she says.
