Beauty is all agog as Raj starts telling her about his love.
Raj: ….Mujhe bhi pyaar hua….lekin main uss pyaar ko pehchaan nahin paaya…..maine bhi wohi galti ki jiske baare mein tum mujhse pooch rahi thi….maine sirf ek khoosurat chehre ko dekha, uske peeche chhupe hue khoobsurat insaan ko nahin…..aur jab tak mujhe yeh ehsaas bhi hua ki yeh pyaar hai….tab tak bahut der ho chuki thi…!
Beauty: Der….?
Raj: (nodding wistfully) Haan…..kyunki uss chehre ke saath jura dil, kissi aur ka ho chukka tha….
Beauty's face is all sympathy. Without seeming to realize it, she slides her hand across the table and squeezes his hand. Raj is too absorbed in thought to notice.
Beauty: Aapne…aapne apne pyar ke baare mein unhe nahin bataya?
Raj shakes his head firmly. "Nahin!"
Beauty: Lekin kyun?
Raj: Agar main aisa karta ko ek dost ko bahut chot pahunchata…..aur do dilo ke beech mein daraar daalta, jinhone bahut mushkil se ek doosre ko paaya tha….main nahin chahata ki mere kaaran phir se koi…..
He checks himself just in time. Beauty is staring at him, puzzled and curious to know more; but just then the dinner arrives and Raj takes refuge in silence.
Jassi and Armaan decide to visit Jassi's home before heading back. They are welcomed delightedly by the Walias. Chaman hovers around them expectantly, as if Angel might pop out at any moment from their car boot!😆
After dinner, Armaan settles down for a chummy chat with his in-laws, while Jassi decides to pay a visit to Nandu. She is welcomed affectionately by his mom, but Nandu himself is nowhere to be seen. His mom tells her that he is upstairs in his room.
She finds him tapping away moodily at his computer. She goes and gives him a friendly slap. Nandu turns back and says, "Oh Jassi….tum…" without any sign of pleasure.
"Kya baat hai?" she demands, sitting down next to him. "Aaj office mein bhi main tujhse nahin mil saki….tera mood toh theek hai na?"
Nandu doesn't meet her eyes. "Nahin aise hi…bahut kaam hai na aajkal."
Jassi: Nandu, tu mujhe buddhu nahin bana sakta! Tu Beauty ko lekar pareshaan hai na?
Nandu: (listlessly) Ab tu jaanti hi hai toh kyun pooch rahi hai…..jo poochna hai Raj Malhotra se pooch na!
Jassi: (sighing) Raj se kyun? Problem toh tere aur Beauty ke beech hai na? Ab agar tu Pari ke peeche bhaagega, to Raj ya koi aur beech main aa bhi jaye, toh uski kya galti hai?
Nandu: Jassi, main Pari ko sirf dinner pe toh leke gaya tha……
Jassi: Baat sirf dinner ki nahin hai…baat yeh hai ko tu kabhi toh Beauty ko bahut attention deta hai aur kabhi usse ignore karta hai….ab wo tujhse koi umeed bhi karna chahe toh kaise kare?
Nandu: Toh main kya karun?
Jassi: (patting his shoulder) Bas, usse achche se treat kar….agar wo thoda naaraz bhi ho toh tension mat le….agar tu uska khayal rakhega toh wo bhi tujh par bharosa karegi….
He smiles and they hug. Then Jassi walks back home.
Beauty and raj are just about to set off when he excuses himself and leaves for a minute. Beauty wanders around the hotel lobby, picking up a stray magazine. Inside is a photograph of Jessica Bedi for some old advertisement. Beauty smiles to herself. "Jassi didi iss photo mein kitni sundar lag rahi hain!"
She puts back the magazine……and then it hits her. All the pieces of the puzzle start to come together…..Jessica Bedi the gorgeous model……Raj calling Beauty "Junior Jhansi ki Rani"…….Raj saying, "Main aisa karata toh ek dost ko chot pahunchata"…….his confession that he loved a face without seeing the beautiful person behind it……..
As everything falls into place, Beauty is left stunned at the truth that emerges—
"Raj sir…..Jassi didi se pyaar karte hain…..!???"
Tomorrow: Beauty is talking to Jassi about Raj.
