2005 22nd December &nbs p; &nbs p; &nbs p; LOS ANGELES,December 22:The hugely successful colombian telenovela Betty la fea will be adapted as a drama for ABC.The network has ordered a pilot that actress Selma Hayek is executive producing.
The original novela,Betty la fea,(Betty the ugly one),about an unattractive but very efficient secretary ,was an enormous hit in colombia and sold around the world.Its format has also been sold successfuly. The pilot for ABC will have three other executive producers,Silvio Horta,creator of UPN's Jake 2.0,Jose Tamez,Selma Hayek's production partner,and veteran TV producer Ben Silverman,who has been working on the project for morethen four years.

I hope this one turns out much better than the disastrous Indian version.

hey what time is it going to be aired and from when .Atleast i can see the original story without being butchered
