When we entered Mangi Ferra on Friday evening, we almost thought that the cops had busted the party even before it had begun as we spotted a cop standing behind the bar. But somehow something seemed wrong because the guy was in fact wearing a traffic police uniform. It was only when we saw him serving drinks to the guests, we realised that the chap was actually a bartender dressed as a cop. Apparently the organisers had decided to dress him up that way to 'go with the theme' of the television show Don, that was being launched. The detective show that stars Parmeet Sethi has the hunky actor disguising himself as different people… a traffic cop, of course, being one of them. While Parmeet was all over the place with his kids, wife Archana Puran Singh was conspicuously missing. Niki Aneja (yeah, she's still in town… yawn) was also seen with her husband Sunny Walia. Most actors helped themselves with generous doses of champagne but Shweta Kawatra seemed keen on playing the saki to her husband Manav Gohil as we spotted her pouring out some of the spirit for him. Eventually everyone hit the dance floor as they always do and Manini De, as usual led the rest. Among the ones we spotted were Shammi aunty, Reema Babbar, Sonal Pendse, Smita Bansal with director husband Ankush Mohla, Moulli Ganguly, Sampada, Shilpa Saklani with Apurva Agnihotri, Rupali Ganguli, Sumeet Raghavan with wife, Sonia Kapuur, Ritu Chaudhary and veterans Pahlaj Nihalani and Raman Kumar. | ||
