1) When i think of posting today's bali ka bakra, I think of calling Agnihotri as AgNo3 instead of Agnihotri.
2) If anyone can write down what Jassi and Armaan share online as symbols & figures on paper, no one can do it better than this person
3) Having teen aged boys (actually i have a teenaged girl and a boy who is about to enter teenage)and yet managing to teach and yet managing to drool over jassi-armaan and spend time with us....you must be supermom...
4) She lives in one of the most beautiful places on Earth...a place where a lot of us dream going to ...and a place where mona and co have actually been to😉now that is reaaaallly well said

1) we know you as a happy-go-lucky mom...originally when you came to this forum, you did feel a little left out😳...what made you realise that you were so much a part of this forum and that we were all your friends?

thanks to some real great gals like cb and lr and neelam and the rest.😳 . actually i am very shy and introvert. when i first came i had no intentions of getting into discussions. and when i did try i found that i was not good at getting between the existing familiarity that existed between members here. 😕. had it not been for people here i would still be content in my corner, observing the going ons on this forum. so i must take this opportunity and thank all the lovely folks here who have helped me come out of my shell and allowed me to make some marvelous friends. now i care less for jjkn and come back mostly to check what these unknown but familiar friends are upto.😆 it is because of this i can agree with deepa when she chants--IF ROCKS😆

2) What are your hobbies other than chemistry & JJKN

surf and surf and loads of surfing. used to read a lot, but now i do not get into it or nobody will get food at home till i have finished a book😆

3) Do you visit India often?

almost every year when we have two month of summer holidays, that is in november and december😳. this year my folks came over instead and i am still in the thick of things at home...

1.) What are teh components of Tollen's reagent?

ammoniacal silver nitrate 😛

( you said components??? it is silver nitrate solution to which sodium hydroxide solution is added, when a brown percipitate is formed. this precipitate is dissolved in minimum amount of ammonia solution... count the components you are looking for😆)

2.) Describe Silver mirror test and Brown ring test, in detail!

tollen's reagen and silver mirror seem to be your favourite😆.

in a sqeeky clean test tube take any compound with an aldehyde group, add the tollen's reagent place in a water bath to heat gently. a silver mirror is found at the sides of the test tube🤔.

brown ring test: no longer used in class... used to test for nitrate ions in solution....

acidify the solution containing nitrate with small amount of dil sulphuric acid, add freshly prepared iron (II) sulphate, shake and then carefully pour conc sulphuric acid down the side of the test tube so that it forms a lower layer. a brown ring is formed at the junction of the two liquids😭 (ulti ganga bah rahi hai!!!)

my question to you chemistry students out there. why is it no longer used in the labs?? you can pm me ( i am trying to regain my astitva...ahem)

3.) Rate Armu and Apu on a scale of ten.

actually, he is cute but i never drool over him. him and jassi make a cute pair... their chemistry together is mind blowing. he acts well, actually he tries hard and has been well rewarded in this role. so...???

i'd rate him a decent 8/10 in both his role as armu and apu.😛
