Even as Jassi Jaisi... is likely to fold up, Mallika is ousted from the show

Of late, the flamboyant and sassy Mallika, played by Rakshanda Khan, is conspicuous by her absence in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. "I haven't shot for Jassi for the last one month. Yes, after Mallika's accident, her track has been missing from the show," she says.

Is everything all right between her and the channel? Refusing to divulge details, she says, "I think the best people to answer this question are the channel heads and the producers." Gursheel Walia, creative head Sony TV says, "The channel has nothing to do with Rakshanda's being in the show. The best person to talk about it is producer Deeya Singh."

"Every character in Jassi... was given the best treatment possible," says Deeya Singh. "Rakshanda has been around on TV for a long time, but it was after her Mallika act in Jassi... that she finally got due credit as an actor. It was an ideal role for her and I must say that she did a great job."

When asked about Khan's current status on Jassi, she says, "As of now, Rakshanda is not part of the show. We do not require her... One has to understand that Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin is not a show about Mallika, it's not even about Mona Singh. The show, in its entirety, is what finally matters. As producer-director, my job is to highlight the characters that will take the story ahead."

However, there are rumours about an alleged fall-out between the actor and the producer.

"There was no fall-out. Not that I'm aware of...," says Deeya Singh. "I've been told that Rakshanda is hurt about this change in plan but she hasn't said anything to me yet."

im not surprised shes upset, shes bound to be, there was no follow up after her death, no final goodbye , no funeral how stupid could the show be, im just surprised that mr apu and miss singh didnt say anything and still are in this pathetic show, plus malika was a important part of the show, she deserves some degree of respect...........well thats enough said not that it makes any difference!

she has every right to be upset. maybe TnD are trying to speed things up,
and that's why the show is supposedly ending next month when it should
end in june. waaaaaahhhhh!! 😭

I TOTALLY AGREE......EGGJACKLY
when u have given everything for this show as an actress....u are entitled to expect some type of resepect to the character from the producers and makers of this show....instead...the death was grusome and was not even acknowledged......

bascially...if u missed the episode where Mallike fell off the cliff in the car, you would not even know that she was dead because she was not even MENTIONED in the next episode...is that justice to the character Rakshanda worked so hard to create?

even i didnt like Mallika....but i do admire Rakshanda, shes a great actress and any actress would be anger that her character was butchered in such an ugly way.....

I didn't love the dramatic way of killing Molly. she has beeen in this serial for long time and her role came to an sudden end by the car accident. I think she would have suicide by thinking that Armaan can never be hers. I think that would be the perfect way of letting her out of the show. But still I miss mallika a lot. 😭

RK has full reason to be upset abt this...just recently she got an award for playing this role, and now, she is being literally dropped both off a cliff and out of the show. i would be really, really mad...

i thought something was wrong the way they bumped off mallika...and dint even talk about her death later on...while we sit and mourn for 345 days for raghav... 🤢
