No doubt in that > And specially her family. God know what they have become !!!! at one time Jassi's papaji handed over her a packet of chilly powder when she was adament to go with the group of boys for movie and they never turned up. And when he did an enquiry like police when Bindiya wanted to take Jassi for a pajama party.

And the same man is allowing his daughter to have premarital sexand staying in another man's house as fake bahu. I think he has learnt to live on his daughter's earning no matter how she gets that money !!!

LR, don't you dare call my little Jassi anything! And don't you dare imply what you are, regarding Billu!

Whatever Jassi is or is not; whatever J has become or has not, She didn't go to bed with him expecting money in return! And poor A couldn't pay her anyway!

It's a pity you haven't or don't want to see the love that these two share.

I am not justifying PMS.

I am against it but damn me if I allow anybody to unfairly sully J's character or any woman's, for that matter, just because she happened to have PMS.

And oh Billu didn't call her aside and say "Jassi betaji, I have become a helpless old fool and I need to live on you. Go earn in whatever way you like! Let the money come in any form! I herewith give you my aashirwaad for having pre-marital sex in return for money. The richer the bakra, the better!"

He has been most upright and strict but when Jessica happened, we found Billu mellowed and stepping down for his daughter's happiness.

It is only when you lose your dear one that you realize her true value.

After witnessing his daughter undergoing so much suffering and pain, Billu just wanted his daughter to be happy.

He was ready to even shift to a Bunglow (That Angel drama) for his daughter's happiness.

He behaved very sensibly when the pre-nuptial agreement happened and was open to bending down his rules to any extent, just to see his daughter happy.

As if all this is not enough, the wedding fiasco happened. It is not easy for him at this point of life to be enduring this hell.

He has been through so much that he probably feels the pain of others like his own and is elated if his daughter can satisfy somebody's last dying wish.

He trusts her so much that he doesn't mind her posing as MM's wife.

But, I agree that this does seem out of character.

Those stinking idiots have managed to convert even Billu in to a hypocrite.

He may be a hypocrite like his daughter, but

He is NOT living on his daughter's money, earned through selling her skin and will die before even thinking of such a thing!

And how on earth is he supposed to know that his daughter is consummating her relationship with her ex-flame?

He is not keeping tabs on her and if my father trusts me so much that he sends me off on a business trip on my own and I happen to cross borders, how is he or my family responsible?

Why should he be called names and charged with sending me off ?

That's a serious insult to every woman and every father on this earth. As a woman, I wouldn't baselessly accuse even my worst enemy with such dirt.

And it sure pisses me off to blame the parents' for their childrens' deeds. You may give your kids the best of sanskaars but after all they are individuals and if they don't heed what they have been taught, why should the blame be laid at the progenitors' door?

Jassi is an adult and responsible for her own actions. I won't blame Billu or her family for what she has done.

JASSI started out as a story about a simple middle class ladki, with a good upbringing an values. then she slept with armaan before marriage, and now she is having an affair with a married man. where have her values gone? jassi's character from no angle dipicts a middle class girl with good values.

what do u guys think?

LR wrote:

And Jassi where does her sanskar go when she without any hesitation is ready to go to a married man's bed !!! Sorry but she can never be a simple middle class girl. Infact she is the biggest slap on the simplicity and self respect of Middle class.

All bunch of hypocrates!

We are all of us here, talking about values.

What pray is 'values'?

The dictionary says:

Values =

Beliefs of a person or social group in which they have an emotional investment (either for or against something)

Every society has a value system.

And if an individual does not wish to be termed eccentric oe be isolated, he needs to basically adhere to this value system, even if it is hypocritical and spells different rules for different strata of the society.

And the Indian social group values dictate that PMS is a sin.

In fact S itself is something that is hidden under wraps and mentioned and discussed in hushed whispers and kept away from the youngsters like it's some untouchable disease.

But now, views regarding the same are fast changing…Films like 'Salaam namaste' becoming box office hits confirm this fact. So, is PMS wrong?

Thanks to Peaches, we have had a most fruitful discussion in this regard and I have amply put forth why I against PMS and why I cannot accept J indulging in PMS. I have no interest in repeating my points here.

But, I would like to put down my thoughts regarding the 'middle-class' aspect of this entire thing.

People are disgusted that J had PMS especially because she is a middle class girl?! But nobody objects to Pari indulging in that?

Where does it say that middle class girls should not have PMS?

As if every high class girl has PMS every waking day of her life! And as if no middle class girl ever has PMS!

Talk 'Middle class' and the girl is 'Sati savitri' while the boy is 'Bhagwan Ram'!

Talk upper class and the boy is a spoilt Casanova while the girl is a 'ameer baap ki bigdihuyi saahabzaadi'!

Pray, why?

If you are middle class, why should you be dhoodh ki dhuli?

If you are upper class, why cannot you be dhoodh ki dhuli?

I am not justifying PMS. As I keep saying, I am vehemently against it but I cannot stand unfairness.

In the foreign countries, S and PMS are a part of their culture. Does that mean that their women are valueless?

Just because our culture, our tradition considers it a taboo, is PMS necessarily dirty and the people indulging in it unworthy of our respect?

So, does having PMS make you a slut? Does it make you valueless? Dies it disqualify you from being considered a respectable woman?

LR says:

she can never be a simple middle class girl. Infact she is the biggest slap on the simplicity and self respect of Middle class.

Do only middle-class girls have self-respect?

And why should simplicity be the virtue of only middle-class girls?

Are not middle-class girls human?

Are they not women?

Can they not give in to their weaknesses and fall pray to their feminine passions?

She has PMS and she becomes a slut and a slap to middle-class!

Phooeeeeeeeyyyyyy!!!!! I don't buy that and never will.

J indulging in PMS is wrong not because she is middle class but maybe because such a thing is considered crossing borders in our society.

And J has always subscribed to the unwritten rules laid down by our society. And she has also lectured to the point of obnoxiousness as to how or why she will never sacrifice them!

Therefore, J going against her preaching principles is shocking and she does come across as a hypocrite.

Moreover, J has been depicted as a very strong woman, who has a firm control on her passions.

Agreed that when it comes to A, she's always a goner but she has been able to resist him before especially during the jealousy angle.

Now, you may say that after having been through so much, her defenses were low and the unexpected union with the lowe of her life melted her and she succumbed to her passions.

The moment was such that the JandA got carried away. They forgot that legally A is still attached to the retard.

I don't accept that and I believe J should have exercised self-control and not hurried through things and the way they executed the scene doesn't suit me.

That's another story. I am not discussing that here.

Much though disappointed and disgusted I am at J's behavior and have sort of lost respect for her I don't hate her or consider her a blot on the middle-class or us women.

She is a hypocrite for sure.

All thanks to Kameens and Gursheel, my little Jassi has become a master in preaching what she will never practice!

Rest assured that those creatures are not yet through with their filth and a lot more of butchering is yet to happen to J's character.

SOUNIA wrote:

then she slept with armaan before marriage,

She didn't!

As far as the story is concerned, it DIDN'T happen! Apu said on IF that no PMS had happened between the JandA!

This happens to be their first time and is PMS for J but EMA for A! I am not dwelling on the moral aspect of this. That's another story. But, yes, I don't approve of J getting involved with a married man even if his relationshp with his wife is as good as non-existent. And my little J would never have done this. But this show is in the hands of Kameens and Gursheel. I actually expected something worse than this!

The show and Jassi started on a high note.

Now, the show is a sorry amalgam of embroidered concepts and sub-plots pilfered from here and there.

Jassi is a stinking hypocrite and weak and foolish and jumps to conclusions without thinking and seems like it's ages since she's exercised her gray cells.

The startling freshness and novelty with which the show started out has gone with the wind and is never going to come back.

Jassi is no longer my little Jassi.

I cannot identify with her anymore but she is Jassi still.

Even today, she has a heart of gold and her life starts and ends with Armaan.

She might have become stupid, vain, a retard, and weak and has lost her power of judgment and discretion but she is Jassi still and is definitely not a slut!

There's no point in comparing JJKN and J to what they were because J has become a victim of TRP's and like I say they have dug up her body …

I don't hate her. But I don't consider her a slut either.

I am only sorry that I am seeing this day…

I have lost all expectations and hopes from this show and J. I am waiting for my little J to come back from her hiding some day…in vain…

I am only hoping that Kameens doesn't make me and J see worse days…

JandA forever!

(These are just my opinions. and I don't mean offense to anybody)

Well said everyone!👏

Be it for whatever reasons, my little J does make everyone sit up and take notice!😉

Everyone was truly brilliant!👏

JandA Forever!

I think we as the audiance sld not confuse PMS in reel life versus real life. Here we sld be only discussing PMS in relation to Jassi's character. From the outset we have been given very definate portrait of her character. There never was any moral ambiguity in her role The entire show was marketed and sold on the basis of Jassi's superior moralality and her unrelenting attitude towards doing always the right thing. A s regards her being the other woman , she herself had backed out once she realised she was on the verge of becoming one. Mallika has never been the other woman in Jassi's life. She was the first one who was engaged to Armaan. Armaan slept with her while they were married and still some ppl r blaming her for that. Armaan was drunk fine and Mall who was craving attention was to stop Armaan and say No becuz he seemed kind of drunk. I don't think so. Also when A married Mall, she had not come between them rather it had all been A's decision. I think here we sldn't be discussing that its up to an individual whether they want to indulge in PMS or not. we can only discuss it in relation to Jassi's char . And we can object to it on the basis of how till recently Jassi had been projected . She had always done the right thing no matter how much hardship she had to go thro . Jassi is not a char with grey shades where we can give her the benafit of doubt. She has been shown sleeping with a married man for which she hasn't shown a shred of remorse and I think it sld be condemed if we r to judge it by her projected charaterisation.
