The fifth Indian Telly Awards were held recently in Mumbai to felicitate people from the television industry. It was a star-studded ceremony that saw a lot of entertainment, happiness and tears. Says Anil Wanwari, CEO, Indiantelevision.com, "The Grammies and the Emmies inspired me to start the Indian Telly Awards. The first award show in 2001 was sponsored by all the channels and saw competitors coming together for a cause." There were about 40 artists who performed this year at the award show. Scintillating performances were given by Rajeev Khandelwal-Aamna Shariff who danced to Aap ki kashish and Main yahan hoon and Eijaz Khan-Shama Sikander who boogied to Nyasa nyasa and Deedar de. The fame jodi of Qazi and Ruprekha also performed on stage. The stage further sizzled with performances by Neha Bamb, Shweta Tiwari and Narayani Shastri moving to the beats of Main Albeli and San Sanan. Iqbal Khan scorched the stage with Bachna Aye Haseeno. Chaitanya Choudhary with Karishma Tanna and Vikas Sethi with Manasi Verma gave good performances. And the award goes to... Best Actor (Popular) – Apoorva Agnihotri (Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin) |
