Karan Oberoi, Apara Mehta and Ketaki Dave join the daily soap
Twists and turns are essential to the plot of any serial and 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin' seems to be leading the way! While Jassi has taken on a new identity in the serial, there also seem to be a host of new faces making their entry into the daily soap.
Making a comeback to TV is the 'Band of Boys' singer Karan Oberoi, whose previous foray on television includes 'Saaya' and 'Milan'.
Says Oberoi, "I know working on a daily soap can be quite taxing but the producers have asserted that they wrote the role of music teacher Raghav Malhotra keeping me in mind, not to mention their willingness to adjust the dates so they do not interfere with my singing commitments. Hence, I took it up."
Apara Mehta of 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' fame is another actor to take up the role of a teacher in this popular Sony serial. She says, "In this serial, I play a role that I have never played before. I play a very positive, simple lady who gives shelter to Neha, not knowing that she is in fact Jassi."
Also making a comeback to daily soaps is Ketaki Dave, who made 'Arrara' her middle name with her role in 'Kyunki…'. She corroborates, "I play a school teacher, who is a perfectionist and believes that she is an authority on school-related matters. She misconstrues Jassi's intentions and resents her rising popularity in the school." Negative shades or not, 'Jassi…' sure seems to jazz up its plot to maintain its TRPs!
