Lol, okie here we go. Ana, here's the story to my Tree-Huggie bear. 😆
So my cousin came here in May from Mumbai for a wedding & then she stayed behind to take her US Medical Licensing Exam. She ended up staying here for 6 months, during which she saw how much I lowed JJKN & I-F. I got her to like JJKN more than she already had, made her listen to the CD over & over again, etc. So, when we went to meet Mona & Gaurav that day of the India Day Parade, she was with me. Over a matter of months, we decided that we're going to have a Jassi doll contest between the 2 of us. People will have to judge them once we're done. So now that I'm leaving for Mumbai on Monday, I had to get started b/c my cousin's back there already E-Mailing me about the doll contest & not to forget (mind you, she's almost 30! 😆) Sooo..heehee..there's a place called Build-A-Bear here where you can do about 9034803984 things with just one teddy bear. I went there, I bought a bear. Then, they have this thing called Build-A-Sound so I made my brother mix some stuff on the computer. At Build-A-Bear, the bears are unstuffed..they do it for you & you put a heart in it, they put a tracking code in it in case it's ever lost, etc. etc. So I stuffed the bear, put a purple heart in it (those were the ones whose donations went to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund), and put the sound in it. Ended up buying the tan chappals (NOT flip-flops..lol.. 😉 😆 ), they had a black wig with bangs which you can see (I tied it up into a ponytail), a pink diary w/a matching pen, a black purse (Remember that ONE purse that Wally used to carry around? 😆 ), & the glasses of course. My brother helped me (all the while calling me a nutcase) to bend hanger wire & make the skeletal infrastructure for the umbrella. I had pink fabric which I used for the actual umbrella. THENNN, I had this pink cotton crap from an old salwar or something @ home which I cut & then sewed a mini salwar and dupatta for the Wally Bear. The diary has a bunch of pictures in it..of Jassi & Nandu, of The Wally Family, of JandA, etc. 😃 Oh, & let me tell you that I bought PINK CHADDS from Build-A-Bear (yes, they had them) & Wally Bear has them on. 😆 Oh yeah, anddd I unfolded a paper clip, attached safety pin tops to it, & sewed it on Wally Bear's mouth for braces. And FINALLYYYY, when you press her left arm, there's a sound byte of Jassi (got it from an old episode) saying "I Love You Armaan Sir"..then a blank second..& then my Shaanu saying "Jassi jaissi? KOI NAHIN!" from the title song. 😆 I WISHHH you guys could hear it.
I know, I know, I'm insane, but the bottom line is, I AM WINNING THIS CONTEST WITH MY COUSIN! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 😉
