When real life merges with a liberal dose of reel life, you get to be a part of the celluloid dream. And it's a dream you felt you were in, if you were at the launch of this prt label's Autumn-Winter collection at The Grand Maratha Hotel on Monday afternoon. The idea of the entire exercise was to preview their newest styles, while actually shooting a fashion show sequence for Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. Ace choreographer Achla Sachdev had some of India 's top models like Candice Pinto, Vidyuth Jamwal, Anchal Kumar, Sohini Jaitley, Hrishant Goswami, and Raman Lamba walking the ramp, looking haute in eye-catching, colourful garments and especially designed accessories. But while we liked the crinkled metallic shirts and the fancy corduroys, the most intriguing part of the show was the finale which had model-turned-actor, Iqbal Khan, take to the catwalk. Other stars from the serial, like Apoorva Aghinotri (dashing in a white suit) hung around the ramp (as part of the act, of course) along with Vinay Jain and the popular Gaurav Gera while Mona Singh applauded the loudest. The only downer was the less-than-professional behaviour by model Upen Patel, who dropped out on the morning of the shoot, resulting in a bit of confusion. Regardless, Achla managed to change a few things around at the last moment and the show went on without a hitch. No wonder Salil and Akhil Chaturvedi were heard thanking God for small mercies! | ||
