Well, I thought those two were technically perfect; but that spark wqas missing. I mean, look at Maninee and Mihir--they had eyes only for each other. They were a hopelessly romantic couple.
But as regards Apu-Shilpa, i thought Apu was trying much harder than Shilpa. Her entire attention was on the audience, not on her spouse. If you are a couple dancing together, you should make an effort to encourage the other, look reassuringly into each other's eyes...
I thought Shilpa was being rather self-centered on stage. Maybe she was nrevous...AS for her lack of expression, let me not start on that.
I really felt sorry for Apu. What can you do with a spouse like that?
