It's so emotionally exhausting watching JNDSD and especially ViTharv while they are apart.
Before I talk about Vividha and Atharv today I'm going to talk about Ravish.
I actually try and avoid talking about his character because not only do I dislike him, but he is irrelevant for me. As far as I'm concerned, he is in the show as one of the obstacles for ViTharv reuniting.
But today, I was appalled at his reaction to Vivi telling him that Atharv is alive. This is his brother that he professed to love so dearly and who he hasn't seen for four years. Not once did he tell Vivi that he would like to go and see him and find out why he has not been in touch with them all these years. He didn't even tell a heartbroken Vivi that they should tell Sujata who has been crying for her son all these years. Nope. What does he do? He tells Vivi to move on.
It was such a selfish moment.
Ravish is happy with the life he has. He has Vivi, Madhav, Sujata, Uma, Daadi, everyone around him who love him. And he doesn't want to give up all that. And if, as it turns out, Madhav is Atharv's son and Ravish knew about it, then this will be a new low for him.
I've been anticipating Vivi seeing Atharv for so long and despite knowing what was going to happen, my heart broke for her today. Today she saw the only man she's ever loved and lived for, in the arms of another woman. And it broke her.
Seeing Vivi fall to the ground flashing back to her moments with Atharv, right upto the point where he told her to marry Ravish, was heartbreaking. Despite being married to Ravish, deep down in her heart, Vivi always had the hope that Atharv would come back to her. That's how much she was still clinging on to him and his memory. The four years marriage to Ravish was all a facade. This is why we never saw Vividha truly happy, why we never saw her smile reach her eyes, why she could never give Ravish any love or affection. It was simply because her heart still yearned for Atharv.
And Atharv's happy marriage is an illusion too no matter how real he believes it to be. As he was busy romancing Guddi, he too stopped in his tracks as he felt someone close by that meant something to him. His eyes searched for Vividha because his heart told him she was someone special. For just one second I held my breath that maybe, just maybe they would turn and their eyes would meet and everything would be okay.
But instead, a devastated Vivi felt betrayed as she saw the man she loved in someone else's arms. As she angrily told Ravish how Atharv had abandoned her, her words did not match what she felt in her heart. If she truly did not still care or have any feelings for Atharv, why was she so angry and so upset at the fact that he had so easily moved on with someone else.
In the end as Vividha hugged Ravish for comfort as a friend, a happy Suman looked on, delighted that her plan to keep Vivi and Atharv apart had worked. But Suman hasn't counted on what destiny wants. It may have planned to keep ViTharv apart thus far, but it's making plans to bring them back together.
In the pre-cap, Suman drugged Madhav yet again and he collapsed.
This drugging of a child really needs to stop in this show!
P.S. I'm adding this note as I would like you all to read Vaish(FortuneMajor's) review on page 2. It pretty much sums up my feelings too.
