When was the last time Atharv and Vividha smiled? I mean really smiled with happiness? I actually had to think back and then I remembered it was when they were getting engaged a few weeks ago. Atharv went into Vividha's room before the engagement to sneak in some romance with her. And their smiles were of genuine happiness.
But ever since then, there has been nothing but sadness. For them and for us. Ever since Vitharv went to rescue Ravish, their lives have turned upside down. What should be their happiest moment with their impending marriage is turning out to be a time of guilt and awkwardness.
Ravish asked Atharv why he felt that Vividha loved him and Atharv narrated all the incidences with the photos and the mangal sutra and the name on the rice plate. The one sensible question Ravish did ask Atharv was what Vividha had said, and Atharv replied that she had told him she didn't love Ravish. But that still didn't seemed to have made a difference to Atharv who was hell bent on believing what he wanted to believe.
The next morning ViTharv together with the mothers got ready to leave for Ajmer but Ravish stopped them telling them he had promised Vividha that he would get her married to Atharv. It probably was the most ridiculous decision Ravish made. How could he not see how difficult and awkward this would be for everyone. First of all, everyone including ViTharv know that he loves Vividha. Secondly, why did he not think how Vividha would feel getting married in her ex-husband's house. And Atharv seemed to have lost his voice too! Why did he stay silent too?
Of course, Ravish's true feelings came through. He was hurting and no matter how much he tried to hide it, everyone noticed. And especially Atharv who now not only thought that Vividha loved Ravish, but was being crushed under the guilt he was feeling for hurting his brother.
The lawyer arrived with the divorce papers ready to be signed(although I'm sure they've been signed twice already in the show!). As Atharv and the rest of the family looked on, Vividha signed the papers without any hesitation showing how she was ready to move on with her new life with Atharv. But it was Ravish who hesitated. Making an excuse that his pen was not working, he went into his room and cried. And before he could sign the divorce papers, Atharv arrived stopping him and asking him how was he supposed to live with the guilt he was feeling.
In the pre-cap, Atharv falls down the stairs. We all know what he's planning to do!
Today, Vividha was the most calm and sensible of the three. She knows what she wants and she took steps to get it. The papers were signed by her without guilt or tears.
But the two brothers were complete idiots! Ravish for insisting on having the wedding at his house(well technically Atharv's) and then pretending to be all happy about it. And Atharv for still thinking Vividha loves Ravish and now wanting to sacrifice for his brother. Who the heck do these two brothers think they are. Vividha is not a thing to be passed around and made decisions for. She is fully capable of deciding what and who she wants.
What a mess!
