Bodhan is irritated and emotionally blackmails her by reminding her that she was little when her parents died and is being raised by him since then, but she can't even do him a small favour, and starts leading her away.
Some person is driving by on a scooter and asks after Bodhan, who says that he is taking Jamunia out to get new clothes, and the man praises Bodhan. When the man leaves, Jamunia again begs Bodhan to be sent back home because she is scared and won't be able to do it again. Bodhan is pissed and demands that she follow him.
-Road-
There is a bus driving down an empty road, and suddenly Jamunia walks in front of it and gets hit and falls to the ground. Bodhan makes a huge ruckus and accuses the bus driver and pretends to be distraught. Some man comes and whispers in his ear to just make a settlement right there. They haggle a bit and the man gives Bodhan the money. Everyone gets on the bus and leaves. [Everyone was so concerned, but they all just get back on the bus, leaving Jamunia lying on the road. How weird is that]
Bodhan helps Jamunia up, who is really hurt, and helps her limp away. When Jamunia falls, Bodhan tells her to drop the act now, he shouts at her to get up.
While walking home, Jamunia is struggling to keep up with Bodhan, who is totally uncaring of her presence. A friend of Jamunia's sees her and tells her to come over to her house so that she can bandage her. Bodhan tells the friend no, because there's enough people in their house to look after Jamunia, and drags her away.
-House-
Ramlali (badi mami, Bodhan's wife) is sitting with her head in her hands, when Shivkali (choti mami) offers her some water. Ramlali shouts at her, and Shivkali tries to assure that everything will be okay. Ramlali is worried because Bodhan has an akal mrityu (untimely death) in his kundali. Both are sisters and they get into a fight about what their mother used to say about them and bad mouth each other, while Lakhan (chote mama), Batori and Chitori watch. [This was funny, their mother used to tell each of them that the other would run their life. What kind of mother does that?]
Bodhan and Jamunia enter and Bodhan is pissed that both sisters have started fighting again. Ramlali starts crying and tells Bodhan that she showed the pundit his kundali, and he has an akal mrityu, both Jamunia and Bodhan are shocked.
-Night-
Jamunia is on the roof crying, when her friend from earlier, Chutki, comes with a balm for her injuries. Chutki confirms her suspicion that Bodhan pushed Jamunia in front of a bus again, and she curses that he will die a painful death. Jamunia stops her and tells her about the akal mrityu, and also adds that her mama's have raised her. Chutki says that they only did that to suck the life out of her. Chutki leaves the balm with her and tells her to apply it properly, and leaves.
~Break~
A pundit is at the house doing some Pooja with both mamas and mamis, while Batori and Chitori stand to the side. The Pundit gives Bodhan a list of things to buy for a Pooja and says that everything has to be there, and also to check for the purity of the whole ritual. Pundit adds that he has to give a certain amount of money, and grains amounting to his weight, food for the whole village, and payment for the pundit, and then the akal mrityu can be bypassed.
Jamunia starts to clean the floor when the pundit spots her and starts to lust after her. Jamunia gets uncomfortable with him watching her and leaves, and the pundit watches her leaving. The pundit asks Bodhan about her and Ramlali says that she's really unlucky because of which her parents are now dead.
The pundit says that he can see that she is a paapan (sinner) and he can remove her paap, but first the Pooja must happen. [Creeepppyyyyyyy.....]
-Pooja-
The Pooja is going on, while the Jamunia is standing off to a side and watching. The pundit spots her and starts watching her creepily again. Jamunia again, gets uncomfortable and goes to the roof, where Chutki is struggling with 2 thaali's in her hands. Jamunia goes to help her and grabs one thaali, but lets go of it immediately, while Batori watches all of this. Chutki asks Jamunia why she did that and Jamunia says that he wasn't supposed to touch it. Chutki says that it's too late and she's already touched it, and Jamunia is worried because she just did a paap. Chutki looks around, and says that no one saw anything, so just keep quiet about it, no one needs to know. Batori is shocked.
Everyone is being served food, and Ramlali offers food to the pundit, who tells her to call Jamunia and take blessings. [Why is the pundit constantly being fanned by this one guy?]
Bodhan is on a scale [like one of those scales of justice] and is being weighed against bags of grain, when everyone hears the cries of a bird (mareli bird?) [Never heard of this one]. Ramlali is shocked and frets that on such a shubh mahurat something like this bird's call means that something ashubh is about to happen. Everyone is scared and runs out of the house and into their homes, locking all the doors and windows. [And locking all your doors and windows will keep the evil saaya away? As if it can't penetrate walls. Something bad could also happen inside the house ya know]
Only the family and Chutki are left and the pundit says that this is not a good sign, and the ritual is ruined and tells his team of pundits to leave [The guy with the fan bolts firstđ]. Ramlali grabs onto the pundit's legs and begs him tofix this somehow and save Bodhan. The pundit says that the Pooja was made impure by someone of this house, and now death is very obviously written on Bodhan's face.
Batori suddenly remembers the roof incident and whispers it into Ramlali's ear, who tells the pundit that it was Jamunia. The pundit says that with her actions Jamunia has effectively ended Bodhan's life. The pundit is smirking and Ramlali begs for a solution, and the pundit says that she needs to be punished, only her cries of pain will counteract the cries of the bird, she needs to be severely punished. Jamuia is scared. [I would've that the creepy pundit would have asked for het to be sent to him for 'fixing' or something like that]
-Night-
Everyone is standing around Jamunia, who looks scared. Ramlali tells Batori to make sure no one is around, so that no one can hear her. Ramlali picks up a red hot iron stick from the fire and starts approaching a terrified Jamunia who starts backing away and begging for forgiveness.
Ramlali tells Batori and Chatori to hold Jamunia in place so she can't escape. Ramlali says that this stick hasbeen resting in the same fire that she made impure, and puts the rod on Jamunia's leg, and she shrieks in pain.

Jamunia is about to pick up a jug to put water on her wound, but Ramlali stops her and tells her to not make that impure as well. She taunts that Jamunia has been born inauspicious and has been a sinner since birth.
