Hello all,
Well I haven't visited IF for a very long time...and haven't posted at my beloved JR forum in God knows how long. So I'm sure a lot of you don't remember me...and the new members will not know who I am. But it's ok...
I have been told by someone some very upsetting news about Nia possibly leaving the show, and that compelled me to come here and post my two cents.
I'm still hoping that this news is false and that we continue to enjoy NiVi in the form of sizzling SidNi. But if this news proves to be true then it will truly be a HUGE loss.
Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey's onscreen partnership has been the key to SidNi's success. Yes the writers created this jodi but Sid and Roshni were brought to life by Ravi and Nia. They have complemented each other so well, it is now hard to imagine one without the other. So imagining someone else in Nia's place is hard to even think of for me at least.
I genuinely feel that the writers should not have opted for season 2 and should have carried on with JR as it was, without separating SidNi, and by simply adding new twists and turns, and even characters. It is the job of the CVs to create new situations and I find it hard to believe that they exhausted all options. They just went down the typical route of leaps, killing off characters, butchering characters and separating the main leads. This has been recycled by Desi serials since the very beginning, and JR makers have fallen into the same trap.
It is really heart breaking right now, to even think about a possibility of not seeing NiVi as SidNi after one point. Whatever trps are coming in right now are due to NiVi's chemistry, and a break up of this onscreen partnership will most likely push JR's future into uncertainty. I highly doubt if loyal JR fans will be willing to accept this drastic change.
If we lose Nia then I will quit watching JR. I would do exactly the same if it was Ravi in this position. For me Jamai Raja means SidNi and SidNi means NiVi. I cannot have it any other way and as a loyal fan who has watched the show from day 1, I cannot watch the show without my favourites being in it TOGETHER. Nia's departure from the show would be the end of my journey with the show.
If this is Nia's own choice, then fair enough. But somewhere I feel that there is more to this than meets the eye. Nia isn't known to be a quitter. I doubt she would just abandon her show. That's not her style!
