~Falling in Love at a wedding~
Inspiration : Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Siddharth was bored of these stupid functions looming on his life all the time. One reason his mom wanted him to attend these was to get a bride for himself.
He hated the word named marriage , he didn't know how people could live their lives with someone they didn't even know. Moreover according to him , marriage was just a certificate to stop your relatives to keep asking about yourself.
"Oh hello?" he heard a voice disturbing his thoughts and saw a beautiful girl clad in a golden lehenga looking like a princess from some Disney show.
"Yes , are you talking to me?" Siddharth asked pointing to himself and he saw her coming closer to him. He didn't know why but his heartbeat increased as she came close , close and very close finally.
"I missed you." she said gathering him into an hug. He raised his eyebrows not understanding who she was but he kept his hands on her back finding comfort in the hug.
"I missed you too!" he said lovingly and although she wasn't someone he knew , he wanted to get to know her more.
"Come on let's dance Vicky." he heard her smiling and tugging at his hand. He wondered who kept their child's name Vicky , so idiotic. They ran across to the function where everyone was gathered.
All of the kids started to dance , she joined them and he admired her from far. Siddharth heard people call her Roshni and a smile lit up on his face.
"Come na." she urged him to dance along with her actions but he politely refused , he was never a dancer and he didn't want to screw his chances with her over this fact.
After she had finished dancing she held his arm and they walked hand in hand across the garden. She wasn't used to him being this quiet so she tried to make him do something at least.
Roshni stopped him and started moving around him in circles , he was bewildered but then thought to break the awkward silence.
"Roshni , have you gone mad?" he asked and she laughed saying ,"Finally! I thought you lost your voice seeing my beauty , so main tumhare upar se apna jaadu utar rahi thi by encircling you , you know!" she spoke intelligently.
Siddharth couldn't contain any longer hearing her say so and broke into fits of laughter while she admired his smile.
"You weren't this shy when you were a kid." she asked making him sit by the poolside and he nodded , though she was talking about some Vicky here but even his case was the same.
"Ya , time changes you Roshni." he spoke playing slowly with the water. She held his hand and intertwined their fingers.
They pushed the water together and he felt so good and he couldn't get why but she explained then ,"You feel good because you have someone with you to support you and that time you were alone."
"Are you a philosophy teacher?" he asked feeling stupid the moment the question left him and she giggled shaking her head hard.
"Just that some things have an easy solution but we try to overlook them." she said patting his head cutely. He chuckled rubbing his hair.
"And what about you Roshni , tell anything about you." he said wanting to know more and more about her. She got up and started to go away , he was surprised.
She offered her hand and he took it , "Let's roam and talk , sitting at a place and talking seems so boring." she suggested and he agreed.
"Let's have a look at the nightlife of Mumbai then." he winked giving a brilliant suggestion and she was all the more excited.
"Great , I'll love that. This is my first time to Mumbai afterall. So how are the clubs here?" she asked already feeling superbly excited.
"Ah ah , Mumbai aakr clubs gaye , that's not the actual nightlife. I'll show you the most peaceful nightlife!" he told to her startling her and exciting her all the more.
"You're keeping me more excited , okay about me , well I love sunsets you know." she said and he looked at her face at once.
"That means you hide some misery behind that smile of yours?" he questioned shocking her when she left his hand and stopped at a place.
He kept on moving ahead to finally see her frozen at a point. Siddharth went back and moved his hand across her face wanting her to get out of her daydream.
"How did you get to know this?" she asked looking or rather staring into his eyes. He pecked her cheek tightly and made her sit down.
"Sunset means going away of Roshni or light , are you afraid of darkness?" Siddharth analyzed leaving her speechless.
"Are you a fortune teller?" she asked at once after gaining her wits leaving him distraught with laughter. Soon she joined him in the laughter riot keeping her head on his lap.
"By the way Roshni , I have a confession to make. I'm not Vicky , I'm Siddharth. Sorry for lying to you!" he spoke calmly looking at her expressions.
Her reflex action was she jumped up from his lap and held her head ,"Why did you lie?" she asked a simple question.
"Because I liked you at first glance." he spoke honestly. She looked down blushing ,even though he wasn't the one she was thinking him to be but he sure was better.
"So you're here for what Siddharth?" she questioned going back to her place that is his lap. He smiled knowing she wanted to know him.
"Coz my mom wanted me to find a girl for myself." he spoke stroking her hair and she asked ,"Found her yet?"
"Wo sab baad mein , pehle look up." he told her moving back and she saw a shooting star and immediately shut her eyes.
He admired her closed face and wanted to capture it forever in his mind. At that moment a thought arose in his mind , he wanted to see her face the first thing in the morning everyday.
Siddharth leaned into kiss her coz he didn't feel like he could control seeing her pouting and making such cute faces.
He was a few centimeters away from her lips when her eyes flung open , she felt her heart beating erratically as he was in such a close proximity.
"I think I got the girl Roshni , can I tell her how much I like her?" he asked breathing on her lips and her eyes closed of her own accord.
He moved back and made her sit up , still making sure her eyes were closed and then slowly removed his palm from her face to make her see the most beautiful view of her life.
"Now I won't ever hate darkness I promise Siddharth!" she spoke looking at the beautiful view of the ocean and city lights in the marine drive , this was the most serene view she had witnessed.
She held him tight and hugged him , unwilling to leave. He didn't want to let go either but promising her he'd meet her tomorrow he had made her sleep in her room.
Upon leaving her room he heard murmuring ,"Your eyes are irresistible Siddharth!" His heart swell with happiness as he heard that.
Next day Roshni was trying to find Siddharth all over when she finally spotted him surrounded by 2-3 girls. That was when she went and stood behind them trying to hear their talks and she boiled like anything.
"Siddharth you're so great , you are truly irresistible." one of them spoke almost clinging to him. He tried to push her away but a smile was stuck on his face.
"Excuse me , can I borrow him for a second?" asked Roshni holding him by his hand and taking him away. He was so happy to see her he just wanted to hug her again.
"Good morning Roshni!" he said going in for an hug but she turned away and he noticed she had tears in her eyes. He went ahead and wiped them.
"You were smiling at their compliments so much!"only one sentence came out of her heart and she spoke it all out. Siddharth smiled and kept wiping off her tears.
"What are you doing? Answer me first!" she said feeling restless and unhappy. She was jealous and she knew it , she was showing it openly as well.
"Yes I was smiling at the compliment of one girl. She said that my smile is irresistible!" he completed looking deeply in her eyes.
More tears threatened to fall off her face but she controlled them somehow and started to go from there. He held her wrist and she came stumbling back on him.
Siddharth made both of them hide behind a bush where no one could see them and went forward to kiss her , she closed her eyes but tears spilled from them till now.
He knew she loved him but was apprehensive , so he sucked her tears away. He whispered in her ear ,"That compliment you gave me yesterday roshni."
"I love you and you yourself are the best!" Siddharth told her smiling and she was instantly very happy that she hugged him with so much enthusiasm that he fell down on the ground with her on top.
Roshni couldn't stop herself from kissing him now , she went ahead held his collar and kissed all over his face and saw him smile more and more.
He went further and placed his lips on hers. This was the moment he wanted to remember forever and she made it memorable , not by doing anything but by being with him in that moment.
"I love you Siddharth , you're only mine from now. My boyfriend!" she said showing her rights on him and he kissed her forehead agreeing to her.
"Can we get up now baby?" he asked seeing the crowd that had suddenly turned out of nowhere. She smilingly got up and he got up after her.
"Oh actually we were pushed by someone ,koi baccha hoga. Naughty kids you know?" Siddharth tried justifying but Roshni was smiling hard.
"Chalo chalo let's go everyone." an uncle said and whole of them knew what had happened here. Just then Siddharth felt a pat on his back.
"Mom , mom this is Roshni!" he introduced Roshni to his mom beaming with satisfaction and Roshni went ahead to touch her feet but his mom pulled her in for an hug.
Siddharth smiled and nodded to his mom confirming he'd found her. She was more than happy and let the couple be.
"Chalein?" Siddharth asked giving his hand to Roshni and she said, "You know what I wished for from the shooting star sid?"
"I wished that this smile never leaves your face.!" Roshni said pulling his cheeks. He kissed her cheek back not letting her win.
"You be with me humesha and your wish will come true!" he finished lovingly and she decided she would make this wish of hers turn to reality.
*Hopefully this is nice and not boring. Some places it kind of looks repetitive😛*
