Their story had started with the rains and today both of them were drenched in the love , just they had to tell it to each other. But how exactly can two people who meet for an arranged marriage fall in so deep love in just a month? Let's see!
Kabhi jo baadal barse
Main dekhoon tujhe aankhein bharke
Tu lage mujhe pahli baarish ki duaa
Siddharth and Roshni were to meet their prospective matches that day. They were extremely nervous , arranged marriage and all seemed like a tough decision to take.
As Siddharth rushed to the girl's house , he was totally drenched in rain.
Upon reaching the door he was feeling slippery due to the water on the floor.
Just as he collected himself he saw a girl falling down in front of him but he immediately reached out to her and held her tight by her waist.
It seemed to him that she was so beautiful that even god was envious of him.
"Ye lo Roshni aur Siddharth toh mil bhi liye aur wo bhi itne style se." DD exclaimed earning a smile from everyone.
"Sid ab chod bhi de use. Puri baarish yahin ho jayegi warna." Raj spoke teasing him.
Siddharth was however too lost in Roshni and she was looking at him , how handsome could one look. His smile was the best thing in him , she was overwhelmed by that.
Sid straightened himself up , he lent his hand to make her right back to her feet , however none of them left the other's hand.
"Roshni , Siddharth , you both freshen up. Roshni show him the washroom!" DD asked her with a smile.
But as they were moving in kritika said , "Bhai and bhabhi , aap haath chod sakte ho ab."
This caused everyone to laugh aloud , while Roshni blushingly rushed in followed by a love struck Siddharth.
Tere pahloo mein reh loon
Main khudko paagal keh loon
Tu gham de ya khushiyaan
Seh loon saathiya
As they walked in Siddharth looked around the room , she took out some clothes and handed to him.
"Uh you can change first." She said pointing to the bathroom. He nodded but then a thought arose in his mind.
"Roshni , I'm sorry the first time I'm talking to you I'm asking you this but where did you get these men's clothes from? Boyfriend?" he stressed on the last word crossing his fingers at the back scared of her answer.
"It's alright Mr. Khurrana. No actually , they are my brother's clothes though he lives in an hostel right now." she said shyly.
"Okay and please call me Siddharth?" he told her with a smile and she again lost herself seeing his dazzling smile. He approached for the washroom when he didn't get any answer from her.
"Umm I can't. Actually , I'd always thought I'll call the one I marry by their name only when I get to know the person fully." she said looking the other way not knowing if he would understand or not.
"It means you will want to marry me someday?" he asked excited and she was surprised he took out only this information from her words.
"Ahh , umm, yes , I guess." she told him visibly lost for words and he moved towards her.
"It's alright Roshni , you can call me whatever you like and you can decide about marrying me in your own sweet time." he said taking the towel from her hands.
As he finished getting freshened up , the door was locked. He called out to Roshni to try and unlock it from outside.
"Roshni can you please help me? This door seems to be stuck." he called out. She tried from outside but just then he was successful in opening it from inside.
She came stumbling in and they were on the floor with Roshni's hair stuck on Siddharth's face.
Both of them were feeling something different , something light , they were flying from inside!
That was their first meeting , of delight and rain.
How cute did she look back then falling on me again and wetting my clothes , Siddharth thought back smiling.
He was just as chivalrous then as he is now , Roshni remembered playing with the raindrops.
Koi nahi.. tere siva mera yahaan
Manzilein.. hain meri to sab yahaan
Mita de sabhi aaja faasle
Main chahoon mujhe mujhse baant le
Zara sa mujhme tu jhaank le
Main hoon kya?
Then comes the time of their first date , it was memorable and romantic but very awkward as every first date is!
As Siddharth saw her approaching him he couldn't believe anyone could look this good. He pulled the chair back for her and made her sit comfortably.
"Thank you." she replied and he passed a wide smile , he contemplated if he should sit across her or opposite to her.
Seeing his confused state Roshni so wanted to laugh out but she controlled herself.
She got up and dragged him to the table with the sofa , it was not in the private area but allowed them to sit close and comfortable.
"But Roshni , this isn't the private area , maybe you'll feel uncomfortable. Your mom advised me to book a private seating!" he questioned totally losing it.
"I'm extremely comfortable Mr. Khurrana. Mom worries too much and I guess you're just like her." she told with a smile in her voice.
He caught on to her teasing and stumbled beside her , he rummaged his coat and took out a box.
"A small gift for you Roshni." he gave the box to her. He started rubbing his hands together not knowing what to say and she looked here and there anxiously.
"Why don't you open it?" asked Siddharth not getting what else to speak.
She opened it and saw an amazing bracelet in it , she admired it and then offered it back to him surprising him.
"Won't you make me wear it?" she asked and he willingly took it and started tying it.
"I loved it by the way , thank you so much Siddharth." she spoke shocking him to no extent as she had said his name for the first time.
"Thank you!" he told back to her and had finished tying it to her hand.
Her face held a puzzled look so he said , "For calling me Siddharth and giving me the best present of my life."
His cheesy dialogue made her look down and a blush crept up on her cheeks. He nervously slid his hand closer to hers and held it.
They exchanged shy and timid glances when the waiter had to cough around 2-3 times to get them out of their reverie.
That day had passed off with us knowing each other a lot better than we could have in just a single meeting , Roshni thought looking at her bracelet as she watered a plant.
I was just so happy that she actuall spoke my name , not that I don't respect her decision of not calling me Siddharth but it made me feel like I had achieved something that was just mine , Siddharth reminisced gazing at his car.
Pahle kabhi, na tune mujhe gham diya
Phir mujhe, kyun tanha kar diya
Guzaare thhe jo lamhe pyaar ke
Hamesha tujhe apna maan ke
To phir tune badli kyun adaa
Yeh kyun kiya?
That car had been the reason of misery for her and him one fine day. It had been days they talked , laughed , shared and developed a liking towards each other bit what evoked the love was that one accident.
Roshni rushed into the hospital crying hard as soon as she had heard her mom telling her of his accident.
According to his friends , he had been rushing the car at a phenomenally high speed and it was a miracle that he had survived.
Roshni was both angry and relieved as she heard about him being fine , she had even decided she won't meet him but then her heart couldn't handle that pain too.
"Ah Roshni , finally you came. You know these hospitals are so boring." he blabbered as she walked in.
After walking in and one glance at him was enough to make her cry all the pain out that she had been holding onto.
He got extremely scared and patted her to sleep , he was surprised he affected her so much but the fact that she cried for him made him extremely sad.
As soon as she woke up her first question was , " Why were you driving the car in high speed?" and he had no reply to that question.
Because my heart finally realized I love you Roshni' this was what he wanted to reply but couldn't do at that time.
"I promise I'll never give you another reason to cry , I'm sorry." he said making a cute and innocent face hoping it would make her forget the issue and it did.
"Please never ever leave me Siddharth , I was very scared. Just be fine for my sake , for the sake of our lo.." she stopped in her tracks as she caught on to what she was about to say.
"Our??" he asked , no hearing the remainder of the sentence.
"Our special bond." she emphasized and he had recovered even without the medicines.
Her special bond or rather her love had him healthy and fine in no time.
"Aisa kyun hota hai ki hum jisse sabse zyada pyaar karte hain usse cheezein chupa bhi lete hain?" Roshni wondered remembering how she'd not told him of her love then.
"Kyunki hum jaante hain ki hum ek dusre ke baare mein sab jaan lete hain aur wo bhi bina bole." Siddharth answered to her question unknowingly , he picked up the car keys and proceeded to her house to tell her about his love , it was finally time to express.
Kabhi jo badal barse
Main dekhun tujhe aankhein bharke
Tu lage mujhe pehli barish ki duaa
Tere pahloo mein rah loon
Main khudko pagal kah loon
Tu gham de ya khushiyaan seh loon , saathiya.
Siddharth ran across the garden to reach her front door. It was a mixed feeling for him , both anxiety and excitement were pumping in him.
"Roshniii." his voice died down at the end , she wasn't in the house , he didn't know why an unknown fear engulfed him.
He called her when it started to rain but it wasn't raining from the heavens above but this rain was pouring only on him.
As he looked up he saw her standing at the first floor and pouring water on him through a pipe.
"Roshni? Come down!" he told her and she threw the pipe away before jumping down and he immediately widened his arms to take her in.
"Pagal ho? Gir jati toh?" he asked checking her if she was fine.
"Giri toh nahi na. Waise bhi I know you will always catch me!" she said blushing hard while he smiled.
"Acha why so?" he asked , she was still swaying in his arms. Neither did she wanted to get down nor did he want her to.
"Coz you love me just like I love you." she told looking right in his eyes.
"I love you Roshni." Siddharth confessed and she hugged him tight.
"I love you too Siddharth , sorry for the worst confession in the history of confessions." she replied laughing.
"I just care about the feelings and trust you have on me. Rest the journey is what counts right?" he asked lovingly.
"You're always right you know that?" she asked smiling and leaned in for a kiss.
