Chapter 6

"I won't move from here tonight Roshni. Jab tum apne dil ke darwaze khologi mujhe bahar khada paogi , humesha." he spoke.

Yes , Siddharth Khurrana was finally in love again and this time it was true love!

Roshni sat with her hands on her head trying to get what sin had she committed that her life never seemed happy or why her life turning happy was such an impossibility ,when all had changed ,when she had started loving again why did Sahil have to come back with all the bitter memories and make her vulnerable. She wanted Siddharth but she couldn't get herself to do the same , it was again as tough as it could get!

She didn't know when the morning rays knocked in her life again , she had slept while crying and thinking all that could go wrong , the first thought that sprang up in her mind was of Siddharth , was he fine , did he hate her , did he possibly love her?

Just then she heard a knock on the door ,she was determined to ignore it but the taps kept on getting louder and she clutched her head with the pain it inflicted on her.

She flung the door open, ready to give the person a piece of mind but her mouth hung open as she looked down. The person from housekeeping got her attention and asked ,"Is he your guest ma'am?"

"Umm ya could you please excuse us?" she questioned clearly indicating him to leave and he took cue before leaving both of them all alone.

Agar ye hai nahi, to phir jaane pyar kya hai

Mere jeet hai tu, kise parvaah haar kya hai

Roshni was all teary eyed from last night and the events that took place. She regretted loving Sahil once, she hated him coming back but she loved Siddharth.

She didn't know how he felt but she was not ready to tell him she loved him. It wasn't the right time but he deserved to know her past.

Tera rasta chhodoon na..

Chhodoon naa main tera rasta chhodoon naa

She sat down and looked at his face for a long long time. Slowly she patted him and asked ,"Let's go in Siddharth?"

He opened his eyes, seeing Roshni in the morning was the most beautiful feeling but not that day as she had obviously been crying and he hated the sight. He slightly nodded his head!

He looked at her skeptically, she motioned him to sit at the sofa while she herself stood gazing out of the window.

"It's of about two years back and still I can't seem to get over it." Siddharth flinched, his heart twisted, his love was again incomplete.

"We both were college sweethearts, everyone loved us together. He was so sweet and caring, he was ready to wait for any kind of sexual relationship. I loved this about him, made me feel as if he loved me and it wasn't just attraction." Roshni went on and Sid listened it intently though it hurt him.

"Then one day I finally told him what I had always believed. I told him that I would get physical only after marriage, I knew it was old-fashioned and stupid on my part but I had this belief!" she confessed and she felt a hand stroking her face, wiping her tears. Siddharth held her hand for support.

"Then what was his reaction?" he questioned. "He smilingly agreed but I was sure it was just a matter of time before he asked for it. And he did..." she trailed off.

"He forced you!!" Siddharth growled through gritted teeth and Roshni obliged sniffing and tears flowing out of her eyes.

"Then I broke up with him but our happy times still disturb me coz I can't forget how good he was." Roshni said finally succumbing on Siddharth's shoulder. He comforted her and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Do you still want to go back to him because you can't forget him?" Siddharth asked, he stiil wasn't clear about his position in her life.

"I don't know. I know nothing." she said feeling comfort in Siddharth's touch. But soon that comfort too was gone.

"What am I for you Roshni? A punching bag? Your comforting shoulder?" he asked feeling agitated.

"What are you saying Siddharth? I lo...I mean we're friends right?" she asked slurring away on the word love.

"Oh nice, a friend who kisses another one, who shares drinks, who cries on the other's shoulders, a friend who waits the whole night for another to open the door and a friend whom you make your fake boyfriend! Why are you playing with my emotions Roshni?" Siddharth asked pouring all his frustration out.

"No Siddharth..you are getting it all wrong!" she tried to reason with him but how could she tell him she loved him.

"Then find another friend Roshni because I can't be your friend and cater to your needs!" he stressed on the last word angering her.

"What do you mean needs?" she asked angry pushing him hard! "I am not that kind of a girl!" Roshni showed him a finger in warning.

He started to go out feeling equally angry when a pull forced him to fall backwards on the bed. She climbed on top of him and held his collar with rage.

By now he was shocked and surprised. He was no longer in a frustrated rage, he was surprisingly hopeful now.

"I am a simple and normal girl, you get it?" she roared and he meekly nodded his head. He tried to get up but she pinned him back down.

"I love how you take care of me, I love how you waited all night long for me, I love how you understand me, I love the kiss we shared and I don't know about you but I am head over heels in love with you." Roshni confessed.

Siddharth was beaming so hard that his cheeks hurt, Roshni came out of her sherni mode and realised what she spoke.

She tried getting up but this time he pulled her down. She could hear his heart beating fast and he bent his head in the locks of her hair.

Taking in her fragrance and totallly intoxicated he spoke," If it had not been love I wouldn't have almost killed that Sahil, I wouldn't have waited outside, I wouldn't have kissed you and I wouldn't be so intoxicated by your presence right now. I love you more than anyone can imagine Roshni!" Siddhath spoke sincerely now staring in her eyes.

"But I can't be with you Siddharth!" she said looking down on him as she got up. He straightened up and sat on the bed himself.

Zindaa hoon lekin, wo baat nahi hai

Haathon mein teraa, jo haath nahi hai

Ishq ka hai naam bada

Maine hai kiya kaam bada

Kar ke magar aadha chhodoon na

Tere rukh se ye chehra modoon na

"I am not ready for a relationship right now. Please understand!" she spoke scared and fearful of his reply.

"I will wait for you forever! Take your time, be away from me if you want to. But if I find you in trouble or in need of me I will be just beside you!" Siddharth said before kissing her cheek and leaving.

She couldn't believe she had told him she loved him but it hurt her in a corner of her heart that they weren't together. She felt strangely happy and at peace!

Next few days were filled with minimal talks between them, stolen eye glances, glares in directions of Sahil and a few occassions where random people hit on them.

Tera rastaa main chhodoon na...

Once he encountered her being cornered by Sahil and had rescued her but when she had wanted to thank him for the same, he had dissapeared without even giving a second look to her.

She was feeling his ignorance and she hated it. Siddharth peeped from behind a pillar, he knew she was bothered but this was needed, he had to win her after all.
