Buzz: Ravi Dubey's Jamai Raja To Go Off Air
Blame it on low TRPs After making a splash on the small screen, popular television actor Ravi Dubey is venturing into films with Teen Dev which also stars Karan Singh Grover and Kunaal Roy Kapur.

This shift seems to have come at a good time for the actor because according to sources, his current TV show Jamai Raja may go off air by the end of this year.

Yes, the show started with a bang when it first aired in August last year and was expected to challenge shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Diya Aur Bati Hum, which were ruling the TRP game.

However, over the last one year, Jamai Raja's ratings dropped substantially from 3.4 to 1.9. Buzz is, the channel has issued a diktat to the makers that the show will be axed if it doesn't get a minimum rating of 2.4.

When asked about the possibility of the show being pulled off, Ravi told 9xe, "We have a good product and ratings do fluctuate. We have certain tracks in the pipeline, which will hopefully lead the ratings to go up again."

@paru promo is out so its all speculations and moreover zee is nt in aposition wherin it can plug of shw like JR frm a knw prodn house cos all its new shows are nt gud and kkb and JR is one of its srtng serial werin fan base is there

This was expected. I hope we get some good episodes in future then maybe the trp will increase and now we are getting promos also...otherwise good bye jr

looks like after reading such news about the show, zee and the ph house will take some initiative to promote jr so that it's trps increase now!

By the end of this year means it has still 3 more months, that is a long time to change the TRPs.. Now I understand why they introduced the vamp Shabby track, I'm sure they'll easily achieve 2.4 or more with Shabby drama🥱😆..

And Zee TV keeps giving diktats to improve TRPs.. It has been giving diktat to QH for the past 1yr😆, so that doesn't mean anything if atleast there is a slight improvement in TRP..

I was expecting the show to go off air next month or so, after this article I'm pretty sure, its not going to happen soon and from what Ravi said I'm sure high drama quotient track is being planned like the Misha one, and we SidNi fans are going to hate it while TRP aunties would love it🤪

I think article is half true ..bcoz of low trps media may assume something n stated this...but am not shocked😆..zee is promoting it now ,new promo is aired...may be to check whether trps will improve or not i guess..😉

@bold:i totally agree with u..am sure trps will increase in coming weeks...if zee wanted it to off air..they would have end it now itself ..y giving so much time..😆😲

Zee don't pull off a successful show very easily, they give it maximum chance try everything possible and then end it.. QH, DAK etc are examples.. They still have hope in JR and that is why they are making an effort with promos too.. As much as I'm not liking the track, I'm sure the track would prove good for TRPs.. Fingers crossed😊
