Drabble-28 Nazar Laaye
Siddharth and Roshni are happily married and are celebrating their first karva chauth..
{Karva Chauth is a one-day festival celebrated by Hindu women in North India in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.}
Maine haara, main tera saara main
Meetha meetha tu, haan khaara khaara main
Tera saara main, saara main
Siddharth gets up and sees Roshni running here and there in search of something.
He gets up and goes to the cupboard. He removes something and moves towards her with a smile.
He closes her eyes from behind and she jerks up feeling his touch!!
Sindoori rang suhagan saccha
He keeps the packet in her hand and she smiles feeling what it is.
Saccha re sarmaya jo paaya hai woh
Tu dil mein maahi aaya hai
Maine maahi paaya hai
Nazar laaye naa, koi nazar laaye naaShe turns around and pecks him still with her eyes closed.
He smiles and kisses her and asks her to wear this saree for the function.
She asks him to leave so that she could change but he denies shaking his head cutely in a No.

Nazar laaye jo tumko jal jaaye woh
Chaand le jug begana ho
She pushes him out as she felt shy while he picks her up in his arms and takes her to the bathroom.
He asks her to change while he was waiting outside. He pretends to be angry!!
She chuckles at his tries to fake anger and stops him by holding his arms.
She hands him his kurta pyjama and he observes that it is of the same colour as her saree.

He just forgets everything and twirls her happily while she looks on surprised but totally enjoying the comfort of his arms.

He leaves out of the room and thinks of how he could never live without her.
He is about to eat an apple when he remembers how he too could not eat anything as he had fasted for her long life.
He wanted her to live forever and ever!!
Kaajal, teeka peeche kaanon ke
Nazaron ko roke re
She dressed up and decided to go outside as her hubby would be waiting for her.
She stopped in her tracks and turned around wearing her mangal-sutra along with it..
She admired him for his choice and thought of how all the compliments she got today would be due to him!
Duniya deti laakhon hi dhokhe
Meethi si hoke re
Tamki main mirche varoon
Saari sharam utaarun
Maahi naa jug ko haarun
She came out adjusting her saree and he lost himself in her pure and scintillating beauty.
She looked at him from top to bottom and lost her heart to his dashing looks.
He went closer to her and offered her a red rose which she accepted whole-heartedly..
He told her she was looking KHOOBSURAT today and she could not help herself from blushing.

They both go to the function hand in hand..
Roshni observes how Sid doesn't eat anything and smiles to herself.
Finally all spot the moon and decide to break the fast!!

Sid takes water for Roshni and is about to make her have it when she stops him and makes him drinks it first.
Thereafter she drinks it and they both share a smile.
They both spend the evening chatting and feeding each other!!
Hoping in their hearts for the other one to have a long and healthy life.
