Ardent followers of Zee TV's primetime drama Jamai Raja are up for some excitement with the entry of the popular actor Sumona Chakravarti. The petite actor who has won a million hearts with her disarming smile and flair for natural acting has been signed on to play an important character - that of Misha Grewal, who is Siddharth's (Ravi Dubey) old friend. Misha will be a vibrant, spunky and fun loving girl whose presence will add a lot of spice and will be instrumental in changing the equation between Siddharth & Roshni (Nia Sharma). In an interesting upcoming track, where Sid & Roshni are trying their best to reconcile the differences between DD (Achint Kaur) & her husband Shiv Narayan (K.C Shankar), Sid's old friend Misha makes a dramatic entry into their lives... Meanwhile Misha's closeness with Sid will make Roshni insecure, which Sid notices and plays up even more to peeve off Roshni and make her admit that she still loves Sid a lot... but there is more to Misha than meets the eye and the startling revelation will shock everyone!

"I am really excited to be a part of the much loved show Jamai Raja which enjoys a huge fan following across all age groups. After my last show, I wanted to choose something different in the fiction space as an actor and when I was approached for the role of Misha, I agreed doing it instantly as I loved my character. It is a challenge for an actor to enter a show where the key characters have already endeared themselves to the audiences. I truly hope my character also gets as much love & praise as the other actors have received on the show since its launch."
