I was watching some past JR episodes last night. Sometimes I like to revisit old episodes of my fave shows...it's an old tradition of mine 😆 But I was left feeling quite disappointed when I had to compare the old Simran to the new but not at all improved Simran She turned into a witch overnight!

I think this is one of the biggest blunders by the JR CVs. Simran should've been spared from character butchering because she was such an adorable mother/mother in law. I really miss the way she would look out for Roshni...how she took her happiness into account. I really miss the manner in which Simran would argue with DD over Roshni. She was fiercely loyal. Look what has become of her...

The characterisation of DD has remained constant. We know that she is stubborn & has ego issues...so her bitterness towards the Khuranas is keeping in line with her nature. Her objection to Sid & Roshni's patch up was also inevitable. But with Simran it's a different matter alltogether. She changed overnight. If CVs wanted to downgrade her to vamp status then it should've happened gradually. At least that way it could have been digested.

Watching the old episodes just reminded me of how sweet Simran used to be. Now she is just selfish & bitter.

It is actually Kritika who brought out this side of Simran...and Simran is so lost in her love for her daughter...and she is so guilty for not being able to be there for kritika all these yrs that she has lost the ability to differentiate between good and bad..

Her entire POV is from kritika and kritika only...

She has accepted Rajveer for K..she has let herself be brain washed by K to not like Roshini..

She was prepared to destroy DD for K...everything is abt kritika..

Simran has forgotten her husband and son for the time being...but not to worry...old simran is there and she will resurface soon😊

I don't care if we get the old Simran back. I want her to suffer for hurting her son and Roshni. I know Sid is mummys boy and it look like he already forgave her but I want her to repent .

I know right? Just how Siddharth outbursted his anger on roshni in these recent episodes, i would like him to do the same for once in his life with his mother too!! It is really unbearable to watch Sid be so sweet to his mother all the time. Roshni had the guts to reply back to her mom, Sid too must do that. Then Simran will repent properly 😆

I know that this simran is a poor shadow of her old self...but still i feel she is just lost..and unable to understand what to do...it is just a matter of time before she realises her blunders...and ofcourse she'll repent...

DD was out right evil..her plans..her schemes were dangerous..and Roshni has seen her like that always..whereas Sid has seen the good Simran all his life..so i dont think he'll show his anger on Simran

even the CVS might not even be able to explain the change in Simran...all I can say about her is that she has turned upside down and it shows that all her niceness she was displaying towards Roshni...was just fake...that is what it shows... yes we all understand she felt guilty for abandoning Kritika and thus she wanted her to be happy...but that does not mean it have to affect her thinking ability and for her to she right from wrong... Kritika convinced Simran how Roshni is not a nice person and only she cares about her happiness...which is bull...but still blind Simran fell for her words...apparently she does not remember the time Kritika had embrassed her at her friends shower...

I also have a habit of watching old episodes of my favorite Hindi serials. Simran was a great mother and mother in law. Once Kritika came into the picture she began to poison Simran's mind and guilt tripping her about not being there for her. You can actually see her downfall in character but I feel if any character was butchered then it might be Roshni. Unless her behavior is an act she has changed in knowing the truth when looking into Sid's eyes.

Personally for me, Simran is the first character that I've seen who changed overnight rather than gradually. Her about-face leaves one scratching his/her head.

@bold: I agree. It was indeed Kritika's entry that brought out this side of Simran. During the initial episodes of Kritika's entry, we could see how hard Simran was trying to accomodate her daughter. She would go out of the way, even if Kritika was in the wrong or misbehaved. She was so deperate to win over her daughter's love. And this has resulted in a blind Simran that can no longer see what is right & wrong. Sadly she has forgotten all relationships infront of Kritika.

I agree with your points. But I hope Simran sees sense before it's too late. Let's hope that the old Simran does resurface :)

Sid has surprisingly been very soft on his mother Simran! He is very well aware of the kind of lies & games his mother has played in order to keep SidNi apart. Even then he's been very cool about it. I still think she needs to seriously grilled over cheating Sid into signing divorce papers.
