Holy Father and mother arrive at a hilly place (acc to mythology this is a place near present Kashmir)

With sounds of his famous dambaru, Mahadev drives away all animals from the vicinity. He explains to mother: this is done, so that no one can listen to the very sacred story.

He makes the sun set, moon set , complete darkness

To Devi Parvati he says: this is a very sacred and secret story, it has not been discussed before, my lady listen attentively because you're related to it.

I am talking of a time when there was total darkness, even before time was there.

There was infinite starch of water and the female genome, resting in it.

One day this genome wanted to create and make diversity. So she came up.

Then she created an earth bench.

First she created a lifeless form and gave life to it with her SATTA GUNA. She then asked him to participate in creation with her. Being virtuous he refused to do so with his mother, hence she destroyed her.

Then she disappeared

After ages she came up again and this time used her RAJOGUAN to create life form. Rajagun also refused to unite with her and could not sustain also.

Finally she used her TAMOGUNA to create life form. This man was rude and strong, he made her promise that she will give him power and show him her true self. Fater devi showed, he agreed to create. Accordingly, mahadevi, in form of a spirit, came to rest in his left side.

Thus by virtue of immense power was created the first , oldest God[ADI DEV] Mahadev.

He created the universe.

All mighty lady also came up, taking the form of Parvati.

She said she will forget everything for the welfare of the creation.

She asked him to chose a name, he said:

I was a SAB-lifeless; your shakti gave me life so I will be SHIVA

From the leftover dead life less forms, he re created the satta guni and rajoguni men once again

As the ultimate creator: BRAHMA

And ultimate care taker: VISHNU

He again created from corresponding forms their respective females: SARASWATI, LAXMI

Finally the three adi devs: tridev were getting ready to depart for new universe when mother ulimate rea arrived and asked where shall she stay

They agreed that mother will stay here and do well of all

Also they said, any one who wishes to get knowledge of the vaishnavi rock and strive to know it will reach it via the divine route or if the mother wanted any one to to come to the divine rock, then she will lead him/her by her grace.

While returning after listening this wonderful story, the almighty God and Goddess Parvati were discussing if there were such a person , and lord Shiva showed her that there is such a one, a Brahmin named Shridar.

Then it is seen, shridhar organizing a puja of vaishnodevi

Tan's note: I am confused, acc to mythology shiva told this secret to devi Parvati in the cave where the amaranth idol forms every year and a bird learnt the story in disguise. Parvati had fallen asleep and the bird mimicked her voice whenever an engrossed Shiva asked whether she was listening or not.

When after the story Shiva found this out, he was furious, the bird escaped and entered the wife of VYAS dev: she was a very religious and virtuous woman. She gave birth to the bird as SHUKDEV, the first BRAHMGYANI who had complete knowledge of everything.
