i like durgesh nandini, but i LOVE jab love hua and for exactly the reasons that bholaraja mentioned (all of the people are basically good, and the story is different from the usual shows and the story lines don't depress you to death). the action moves fast in durgesh nandini and, so far at least, good has been triumphing over evil, but evil is really, really evil in this show.

I saw bits of DN and it is not much like JLH. For one the scene shifted to city very fast in DN. Also the plot and characters are the same old, ghisa-peeta ones from the other saas-bahu soaps. Like property dispute, murder of parents or loved ones, tormenting people, plotting to get rid of rivals and a super heroine who tolerates all this.
I like JLH because the people are mostly good unlike other serials where only the heroine is nice and the rest are out to get her -- like Saloni, Bani, Vidya. In JLH people are caring and decent. Even when Kishen steals the money and throws it,it is not for greed but to protect his daughter.
