Well, Priya is the new kid on the block on the small screen, seen playing a suave city girl in Jab Love Hua. It's only been six months for Priya Badlani but she's already shuffling busy schedules and hectic hours-a part and parcel of the industry she has chosen.
Even though this Mumbai-based girl always wanted to be a part of the glam world, being behind the camera is what she most preferred. She thinks facing the camera puts her acting skills to the real test. "I was very fond of photography and I wanted to grow up to be a photographer," she expresses.
"Cinema and filmmaking have always fascinated me. I love educating myself about cinema," she adds. Not surprising then, that she speaks eloquently on world cinema.
"Most of my friends were models . So, I just took the leap with them," she says about her foray into the world of glamour.
Even though she would love to play Rani Mukherjee's role in Black or Sridevi's character from Sadma, she says her stint with television is only part of the transition to making it to the big screen.
They say success comes with a heavy price tag and for Priya, it comes in the form of long working hours and busy schedules. She gushes almost instantly, "Life is so tough man!"
However, she is enjoying every bit of her moments in glory "as long as the scripts are great... and don't ask me to do the saas-bahu roles," she concludes
