The going off air of jpsya is a disastrous not only for its fans or it actors but also for television industry, which is having their young viewers as their target audience.
It was the lesson in the Indian television, for all the viewers, producers, story-writers, creatives or any other associated with the same. In spite of having a simple yet, top notch theme, it will go off air. There are many reasons for its failures. Let's check one by one.
Firstly, the selection of the star cast: The casting of male protagonist was perfect, but the female protagonist was not caste properly. If they are coming with the CLEAR idea of love story of a hotel maid and her boss, they should select the same accordingly. The result was such that they had to replace the lead character. Even though, Sanjeeda Shaikh has done a fabulous job, NOBODY has appreciated her. On the contrary she was bashed.
Secondly, the viewers can not digest the replacement, naturally. Though the plastic surgery is a sure remedy for any replacement of any character, it is still impractical. Earlier it was only in ekta kapoor(who should be better known as 'outdated AMMA of Indian melodrama industry')'s show, but now a days it is being used as never failing weapon and sadly more freely.
Thirdly, it is the over emphasizing the antagonists. First of all, the original antagonist Avinash was underlined, even in the kidnapping and fraud case. Then they introduced Kamini as a main antagonist with the excuse of honour killing. And lastly, Avni, which is creating havoc in the show.
Fourthly, the introduction of 'bhulbhulaiya' track, which was totally frivolous. It was such a horrible that not only a family having children but also the youngsters did not dare to watch the same.
Fifthly, it was separation of its lead characters. Gone are the days, when the hero and heroine used to meet at the end of the story. It is an out dated formula, that 'eat drink and be merry' at the end of story. The current trend is all about team work. Instead of separating Veer, Nihal and Ayesha they could select the option of facing the challenges of their life or they could select the love story of Veer and Ayesha along with Nihal. Did that require the harsh antagonists of Avinash or Kamini or Avni or any other? Did that required the separation?
As we all know that reality shows are not at all realistic and all are far from reality, it may have a little future. Now it is a high time, for a great revolution in the television industry, particularly in India. IT was and is still the most positive point of the show that it is still very FAR from the extra marital affair which is disgusting.
We hope that we will have better show having such great actors like, Sanju or Rahul Pendkalkar or Siddharth Shukla.
