Update:
A bedroom is shown. A woman [Aradhna] is shown getting up. Her husband stops her and asks her where she is going so early. She replies that it is Karva Chauth and she wants to keep it so she can have him as her husband for every life. He wishes her a happy KC and she leaves him, smiling.
As Aradhna prepares the sargi, her MIL gets ready and ignoring her husband, goes to the kitchen where she sees that all the preparations have been done. She smiles at Aradhna and tells her to get ready as the other ladies will be here soon for sargi.
MIL takes tea for her husband who asks her why she is keeping the KC when she knows her health does not permit. MIL gives him a glare and walks of.
Scenes are shown with Aradhna getting ready whilst her husband is out jogging. Some men comment on his success as he reaches his car. Aradhna smiles at a picture of her husband [Shelinder ?] as she finished getting ready.
Downstairs…
MIL is with ladies from the neighbourhood when Aradhna comes down and takes her blessings. MIL blesses her and says that she looks beautiful as the other women comment that despite 10 years of marriage, Aradhna looks exactly the same.
MIL oldest son comes in announcing that he has fresh milk for the women. He asks for his wife Vrinda, Aradhna offers to wake Vrinda up but he laughs and tells her that waking her up is his job. He leaves.
Two other women, Neha and Arhti walk in and Aradhna has every sit down for sargi.
Bedroom…
Son takes tea for Vrinda and wakes her up. She snaps at him asking why he's woken her up. He lovingly tells her to come down for sargi as Aradhna and maa are waiting, she sulks saying that she doesn't care; as it is everyone praises Aradhna all the time. Her husband consoles her and tells her to come down and brings her wheelchair.
Downstairs…
Everyone praises Aradhna's food and Vrinda becomes jealous. MIL tells Aradhna to eat as if she countinues to wait for Shelinder then the sun will come up. Aradhna sits just as Shelinder comes in and jokes with everyone. MIL scolds him for coming late but he sings for Aradhna and says that he left his jogging early to join his beautifully wife. He starts to give her something to eat but the sun comes up.
Shelinder feels guilty that Aradhna won't be able to eat until the sun comes and decides that he won't have any water until she does. He then asks Aradhna to preparee his clothes as he has to go to Agra today.
Bedroom…
Aradhna asks Shelinder if it's important for him to got to Agra. He tells her about this big business deal but says that if she doesn't want him to go then he won't. She smiles and says that it's okay – Shelinder leaves but on his way out greets his younger brother.
Aradhna smiles at him asks him where he was so early. He makes an excuse that he had gone jogging. Aradhna realises that he's kept KC for a girl and he asks her to talk to the family about his marriage. She teases him and says that she will think about it.
Breakfast…
Vrinda's kids as Aradhna for different breakfasts. Vrinda's husbands tells them not to trouble there aunt like that but Aradhna brushes it of and says that she doesn't mind making breakfast for them. Vrinda's husband becomes emotional and thanks Aradhna, saying that sometime he wonders how their life would have been like if she wasn't with them. Aradhna asks him not to say such things and leaves to get water for Dadu.
Kids ask Dadu why only the women keep KC. He smiles and replies that men aren't as strong as women. His wife [MIL] smirks and taunts by saying that all he has to do is pronounce himself weak and can get away with everything.
Parlour…
Aradhna is with Neha and Arthi and says that MIL forced her to come to the parlour otherwise she would have stayed at home. Neha and Arthi crib out their own MIL's and gossip. The news comes on and a reporter announces an accident on the Pune Agra highway between a car and a truck. Aradhna panics and hurries home.
On the way she rings Shelinder's phone but he doesn't pick up.
House…
The whole family are tensed and continue to ring Shelinder but get no reply. Youngest brother gets a call back saying that it wasn't Shelinder's car. Aradhna is relieved and says that he must be in a meeting and will ring back as soon a she finishes.
MIL smiles and tells her to prepare for the puja.
Later…
Puja preparations are going on with all the women [Vrinda gives dark looks to Aradhna whilst Neha and Arthi and gossip].
In the evening, Shelinder still hasn't arrived and the family wonder why he hasn't called back. Aradhana gets a call and he apologises saying that the meeting dragged on for longer than he thought. She sees that the moon has come out and asks when he will be back.
Shelinder replies that he's caught up in traffic but promises to be back soon. He tells her to open her fast but leave some water for him as he will only drink when he gets back.
Aradhna passes smiles and passes the message on to the rest of the family who look disappointed. Vrinda and MIL break their fast but Aradhana waits. Finally she does the puja by herself.
Meanwhile a shirtless Shelinder is shown taking a glass of water. A women gets up from the bed and smiles at him.
