"Abhi hum uski baat naahi kare toh achcha hai Devika", Ragini said turning to her. Dr Devika couldnt quite understand her reply and looked confused, She turned to Dr Neil, who had a plain face..

Nachiket received a call, and excused himself, leaving the girls alone..

"Toh Devika, you found someone.. tum ne bataya nahi... I am very happy for you", Ragini started the conversation with her old bud.

"Nahi yaar, not technically, I had a crush on this guy, I saw everyday at the gym I go to workout. He was so hot and handsome and nice, so I asked him out for a coffee. We have just met once, so I still dont know much about him. He was very nice to talk to.. so I am very hopeful this time and want to gift him something awesome this Valentines".

"hmm.. tu bhi na.. bilkul nahi badli".

"We should keep trying yaar Ragini.. you never know.. But you know what, ab ek problem hogayi hai"

"ab kya hua?"

"Dr Neil se milne ke baad na.. koi aur achcha hi nahi lagta.. Dr Neil is like perfection.. unse baat karne ke baad na, all I want is a person like him.. ab vo kahan se dhoondu?"

Ragini smiles a proud smile listening to her words.

"Are you hitting on my husband?", she asks playfully

"Try karloon kya?", Devika teases

"Unbelievable!! you are asking me permission to hit on my husband?", Ragini replies surprised

"pehle bhi kiya tha, tab tumhe koi aitraaz nahi tha..toh socha phir se try karne mai kya hai",

"Devika!! you are impossible... waise bhi tujhe try karna hai toh karle, lekin is baar, tera koi chance nahi hai, chance toh kya, hope bhi nahi hai"..

Ragini's phone buzzed with a message from Nachiket which read

"Dont order, I've got food from home, we will eat together". Ragini smiled with a blush, then continued,

"Devika, tumhe pata hai, Nachiket ki duniya mai, ek hi ladki thi, hai aur rahegi.. he is kind of stuck, usko koi aur dikhayi hee nahi deti, I sometimes wonder koi kisise itna sachcha pyaar kaise kar sakta hai", she finished with an emotional voice..

Devika, sat amazed listening to her words, "I am so happy for you Ragini, Its amazing to see you transform from the jealous feeling, distrusting Ragini to.. to this..."

Ragini smiles.. "Par haan.. dont tell all this to Nachiket, varna woh sar pa baith jayega.."

They both laugh heartily, when Nachiket returns.. "Kya baaten ho rahi thi?"

"Kuch nahi, Dr Neil.. we will continue our V-Day plans some time later.. I have to go now", Dr Devika said with a wink, before excusing herself.

Ragini narrowed her eyes and turned to Nachiket, "toh what were you upto before I came?"

'I have an appointment in half an hour. Lunch karlein?' Nachiket asked, ignoring her question.

Ragini stood up to leave. 'You didn't answer my question,' she said when they reached his cabin.

'I know, darling' he said, shutting down the blinds and locking the door. Ragini didn't bother asking why he was locking the door and shutting down the blinds. She took the lunch out in the meanwhile.

'There's no curd!' Ragini looked in all the boxes. There was no curd.

'Oh! Suhani se gir gaya tha subh. Sunny tai asked me to tell you,' Nachiket said, walking back to the couch where Ragini had served the lunch.

'Why didn't you tell me then? Mangwa leti main kisise,' Ragini was looking forward to the curd since morning. She wasn't so fond of the Palak-paneer Sunny tai had made.

'Our little make-out session in the morning made me forget it. Wahi batane aaya tha main subh tumhare paas. Par tum to kisi aur hi mood mein thi,' Nachiket said innocently. Ragini looked at him with her mouth open. She couldn't believe he was saying that. She sat down beside him on the couch. 'Main mood mein thi? Aur tum?'

'Maine kya kia? Main to kuch galat nahi karta,' Nachiket said, using her words from the morning. Ragini smiled despite herself. She hit him playfully on his arm, 'Tum na Nachiket!'

Nachiket laughed heartily, 'Fridge mein h tumhara dahi. Maine mangwa lia tha. Nikal lao,'

Ragini's face broke into a big smile and she went to take out the curd from the small refrigerator in Nachiket's cabin.

They had lunch together she started tidying up "ragini leave it" "i have loads of work to do i have to go" he pulled her into his chest "nachiket" "what did i do" she looked at him and smiled "who is in the mood now" "you" she hit him in the chest he smiled and caressed her cheek "nachiket" he went closer "yes darling" ragini just looked at him he kissed her pulling her closer.

He broke the kiss and looked at her "did you want to say something darling" "no" she pushed him back against the sofa and put her head on his chest and hugged him "ragini" "i wanted to finish early today so i could make nishi her favourite dinner but i have so much to do" "i will help i only have a few appointments this afternoon" "thank you you can sort devikas shceulde out" nachiket excitedtly "yeah ok"

"Don't sound so excited" "i am not" she broke the hug and looked at him "what" "nothing" "are you jealous Mrs Khanna" "no i know you only have eyes for one woman" "who is that lucky woman" ragini leaned in and kissed him "you tell me Mr Khanna" she got up to go "ragini listen we still have time" "stop it nachiket" "listen ragini" she was gone he smiled

With Ranbir offering to take up Ragini's work and Devika chipping in too, Ragini and Nachiket were able to leave the hospital early. Picking up the kids and cake on their way home, they reached with enough time to prepare for the birthday party

Aarav decided to make the desert, with Suhani assisting him. Aagham and Nachiket worked on the decorations in the living room while Ragini started on dinner with Sunny Tai. Ranbir was coming home at the dinner time after finishing the work at the hospital.

Ragini was taking the cutlery out for the dinner when she heard Aagham's shouts from the other room. Concerned, she rushed out of the kitchen, with Suhani and Aarav following behind her.

"Kya hua? Why are you shouting?" Ragini asked Aagham, as they entered the living room. Aagham rushed to Ragini's side, held her arm and said, "Dad is bullying me!"

"I am not!" Nachiket said before Ragini could say anything to him.

"You are!" Aagham persisted.

"Aagham tu bahut natak karta h. Kya bola h Dad ne tujhe?" Suhani questioned, coming to stand beside Nachiket.

"Main natak nahi kar raha hu. Sachi mom. Dad is bullying me. He is making me inflate all the balloons. And that's not it. He is also saying if I don't do it, I am grounded!" Aagham explained. Nachiket started to speak but Ragini cut him off.

"Aarav, bring the balloon inflator from the store room and give it to Aagham," she turned to Aagham next, "Your Dad hates doing it. Jo marji karlo, vo nahi karenge. Use the inflator. Don't stress yourself out,"

Aagham had expected his mother to take his side but the way Ragini reacted was completely surprising. "But mom.." Aagham wasn't happy with the decision. He tried to reason it out.

"Trust me Aagham, your dad won't do it. Either use the inflator, or leave the balloons," Ragini said to which Aagham reluctantly nodded and went to the store-room along with Suhani.

When Ragini and Nachiket were left alone, Ragini finally smiled and walked towards him, "How could I forget?"

Nachiket smiled back, "How could you forget?" He wrapped his arms around her waist and she placed her hands on his chest.

"You still hate it," It wasn't a question. Ragini couldn't stop smiling. These little things just reminded her how nothing had changed in all those years.

"I still hate it," he admitted, showing his dimples as he matched her smile with his.

"You used to bully me earlier. Now you bully my kids in doing it," Ragini accused him. Nachiket did not look apologetic at all. He just smiled wider, making his dimples more prominent.

"Did I ever tell you that I absolutely love it when you smile?" The words were out of Ragini's mouth before she could stop herself.

Nachiket pulled her closer, "You have mentioned it a couple of times. But you can say it again," Ragini chuckled on his response.

"You have the most gorgeous smile, dear husband. And I am in absolute love with it!" Ragini said, much to Nachiket's pleasure.

Ragini was still in his arms when the kids came up they were just staring into each others eyes "shall we come back" aagham said nachiket looked up "yes" ragini broke the hug she was blushing "aagham you finish blowing up the ballons i have work in the kitchen" as she was walking away she heard nachiket say "you could have taken your time" to aagham she smiled and went into the kitchen

For the next couple of hours, Ragini was busy cooking and Nachiket was busy overseeing Ragini and rest of the arrangements, in between, when her glare would get intense at his distracting antics.

Soon, Nishi arrived with Jignesh and her suitcase. She was to stay with them for a few days and Jignesh was to return after the party. She was very happy to be celebrating her birthday with her entire family. What more could she ask for. It was a dream come true for all the siblings, a day they never imagined would come, was here. They were excited, As Nishi cut the cake, Aagam grabbed the icing and rubbed it on Nishi's face. Nishi wouldnt spare him, and started chasing him around. Suhani, also joined in to support Nishi. Soon everyone's face was covered with cream. Nachiket generously offered to clean up the cream on Ragini, which she blushingly rejected. After all the masti, came the best part, the delicious dinner with the family. Ragini, choked looking at her family together, relishing the happiness she never thought would be hers. It was the best birthday Nishi had had so far.

After the dinner, Jignesh left and the rest of the boys retired to their rooms. Nachiket went to the upstairs apartment to change. Ragini was helping Nishi unpack, in her room, Asha Naani and Suhani joined them.

"Baithiye na maa, there is so much I want to tell you", Nishi requested Ragini, which she was more than happy to oblige, for one, she wanted to catchup on Nishi's life and two it was the best way to avoid the awkwardness of the night, she faced everyday now. Ragini, Suhani, Maa and Nishi settled on the bed with all the supporting pillows, chatting. Their conversation was just picking up, when Nachiket called "Ragini..". Ragini was very cozy on the bed, she didnt want to get up and go, so she shouted back, "So jao Nachiket, I am with Nishi, will come in some time.". Nachiket waited for a good 2 minutes then called for Ragini again. "Kya chahiye Nachiket?", she asked. "GNK", Nachiket replied. Nishi and Suhani started giggling. "Kya?", Ragini asked, unable to understand, making sure she heard it right, "GNK", Nachiket replied. Nishi and Suhani were now trying hard to curb their laughter. Ragini looked at them with confusion, still unable to understand what Nachiket was asking for and what was stopping him from going to sleep. "Good Night Kiss ma, papa iske liye bularahe hai", Nishi managed to say controlling her laughter. Ragini turned pink, but tried to keep a normal face and glared at Nishi, "Wahi kahi hoga, dhoond lo Nachiket", she replied back, assuming it was something he was looking for. "Nahi hai, dhoond liya.. tum aake help karo" he replied. "Mom, unko aapke bina nahi milega", Suhani teased. Ragini was now red, saying "dekh ke aati hoon" and hiding her blush, she went upstairs. Leaving Nishi and Suhani giggling more than ever.

As Ragini entered their apartment, before she could say anything, Nachiket grabbed her by her waist and captured her lips into a kiss and she kissed back. They lost themselves, as their kiss deepened. After sucking on to each other passionately and throughly living the moment, they broke the kiss. "Tum soye kyun nahi?", Ragini asked shyly. "Tumko good night kahe bina, kaise so ta?", he asked innocently.

"aise koi chillata hai kya? puri building jaag jata",

"Tum aayi kyun nahi?"

"chalo ab so jao,. I am going to chat with Nishi for sometime"

"Come back into my arms, alright?", he whispered to her and she nodded with a smile.

She wished him good night, and as she was leaving, she remarked "by the way, use better code words, tumhari betiyon ko sab samajh mei aagaya".

Nachiket smirked. He grabbed a book and his reading glasses and made it to the bed.

Ragini came back to Nishi;s room and took her spot. Nishi and Suhani were staring at her.. wanting to confirm their guess. "Aise kya dekh rahi ho? woh koi book chahiye tha, jo mil nahi raha tha, Its not what you were thinking", Ragini tried to explain. "Are you sure mom?", Nishi inquired suspiciously. "Haan..Kyon?", Ragini said firmly. "Nahi, woh... you are still red and blushing", Suhani added, reminding Ragini of the blissful moment, just minutes ago. Thankfully, Asha Nani came to her rescue, "Chodo na tum dono, kyun uske peeche pade ho". Ragini tried to rub her cheeks, in an attempt to get them back to normal, before Suhani asked Nishi, "Toh Jignesh jiju bhi aise hi karte hai?", much to Ragini's relief.

They chatted for hours into the night. It was the girl talk that they had missed out on and each was glad in their own way to discuss and share their mind. Nishi, disclosed her day to day life, her happiness, her worries, her dreams, her fears.. She spoke about Jignesh, and how he was a good husband, he did everything for her and she had no complaints about him but somewhere she still wasnt able to find that rapport, that magical connection with him. She was happy, but subconsciously kept looking for that warmth, that missing link.. this in turn lead to most of the fights between them. She spoke about her in-laws and the implicit rules of that house which annoyed her. "There is so much to tolerate and I have to adjust to", she complained. Ragini told to her about being a good wife. She told her about man's vulnerabilities, his fears and how a woman can fill that void. She told her about how to be positive and still get her point across politely, without getting into fights. That would make her feel better and less frustrated.

Suhani was fascinated listening to them, she never thought marriage bought along such big baggage. She wanted to listen more and learn more. For Asha Nani, it was deja vu, the conversation taking her back to the days when newly married Ragini complained about Nachiket's irritating habits and as her mother, she would make her understand. At times she would be amazed at Ragini;s level of understanding now and wonder at her wifey tips, how her daughter had changed after her second time marriage with Nachiket. Forcing them to get married, was the best thing that she had done in her life, she thought. Nishi then spoke about children, and how they had decided that they were ready for a baby. They were planning to get started on IVF and conceive a child soon. Ragini was extemely happy to hear that and promised her support at every stage. Suhani congratulated Nishi for her decision and Asha nani was emotional. They went on for hours, covering a plethora of topics from career to men to marriages to kids. Finally, only when Asha nani started to doze off, did they realize how long it had been. Nishi concluded, "Mom, you know you are the best mom, and the bestest friend a girl can have", "But mom, I think you are greatest as a wife.. my dad is so lucky", Suhani added. "I am lucky to have him as my husband", Ragini replied almost instantly, earning an "awww..." glare from her daughters. she blushed.. then bid them good night.

Ragini, went to her apartment. She found the lights on, Nachiket asleep in an uncomfortable position, with head partly on the head board, book on his chest and his reading glasses still on. "He looks old with glasses", she thought as she removed them and placed them on the side table. It was something about those glasses that kind of disturbed her, she didnt know what, she felt strange. She shook off her thoughts and continued to take off the book. She pulled him into a more comfortable position. He instantly put his arms around her waist and snuggled closer. They both were asleep peacefully in each other's arms.

Next morning--

"Ragini, kitne baje aayi tum?", Nachiket asked as they both were setting the bed. "Bahot raat hogayi Nachiket, pata hee nahi chala.. it was 2:30, I think", she said still yawning. "Aisa kya kar rahe the?", he asked surprised. "Baaten kar rahe the Nachiket, It was a girls night.. Suhani and Nishi were so comfortable sharing.. The conversation was so satisfying. I think we should do it more often", she replied. "No way, I cant go to sleep without you. yesterday night, was so hard", he complained.

Smiling at his cuteness, she walked to him. Pinching his cheeks, "Stop being a baby, my big baby!", she said with a tease. "You know I fell asleep last night, thinking about our honeymoon", he whispered. Encircling his hands around her waist and pulling her closer, "toh hum kab jaarahe hai Jaan?", he asked, his breath warming her ears.

She immediately pulled away and made her way to the cupboard. Nachiket didnt quite understand her reaction. "Nachiket nahalo!", was all she said, before she went out to the kitchen. Nachiket wasnt sure, he decided to take a minute to figure out what had gone wrong, he stepped into the shower. When he came back, Ragini was still upset, blabbering something to herself. "Kya hua Ragini?", he finally asked. "Nachiket, honeymoon pe jaana hai tumhe? umar dekhi hai apni? hamari umar mai log honeymoon nahi jaate.. tumhe pata hai, Nishi is planning to have a child, phir tum Nana banoge aur mai Naani.. Samjho Nachiket we are not young anymore..", she finished with sadness lingering in her voice. The truth that they had lost all their golden years, had surfaced from last night's conversation and their struggle now to make up all those lost times, seemed stupid and absolutely impossible.

"Oh its great, that Nishi is planning to have a child.. I am very happy to hear that", Nachiket replied with all calmness... "But you know what, mai usse se, nana nahi kahelvaunga..."

"Then?", Ragini looked up

"mmm.. Uncle!, Mai usse kahunga ke mujhe uncle bole.. Nana seems too old and boring.."

"Uncle?", Ragini laughed heartily..

"Haan, I am so cool and macho and sexy..", Nachiket tried to reason, as he showed off his muscles and perfect abs.. "Uncle theek rahega..", he declared.

Ragini was still laughing.. "Nachiket, tum bhi na..".

"Toh, honey moon manaogi, Sexy uncle ke saath?", he asked with a wink.

"Nachiket samjho, hum 25 saal ke nahi rahe, we are going to be grand parents.."
